What are you most looking forward to about Christmas Day?

For me it's going to be DD1 opening her presents... (DD2 is a bit too young to get it!)

And Dinner!!!

And Downtown Abbey

Seeing my DD's face. She is 3 1/2 and is just so bloody excited! I really can't wait. I just hope the first ever christmas dinner I am about to cook is edible and not too stressful!

Not working for a week and a half.
Happy children.
Great food.
Relaxed adults

There's DH and I and our 2 DC (15 and 12.6) plus three guinea-pigs.
DF,DM,DBro and DSil and The Cat are coming down early tomorrow till Friday.

I have shopped enough to empty Sainsburys (Nectar Rewards) and baked loads.

I'm looking forwards to cooking, having someone who appreciates the finer points of the rubbishy soaps.
My DC actually sitting down for a meal instead of eating and toddling off.

I bought new guest duvets and guest pillows in preparation. Changed the beeding to Christmas Bedding (oh Yes) and fleece blankets .

I'll fill the dishwasher tonight with my naice Christmas plates for breakfast .
The DC will have their Christmas Eve Hampers ( PJs,sweets,bath stuff, annual, new mug and a hot chocolate sachet)

DD will want to watch Paul O Grady Love of Dogs.
DH and DS watch Dr Who (it's a Christmas Tradition)

So looking forward to a few days of catch up, food, gossip, and Skype DSis in New Zealand.

Yes opening presents...then that sit down for starter and that glass of bubbly, deep breath and chase after the toddler relax

I know that despite my annoyance at being filmed, I am very lucky to have so many people who want to join us.

I love filling the DC's sacks in the eRly hours before bed and then when they climb into bed with us in the morning to unwrap their FC presents.

Of course, seeing the delight on their faces as they unwrap their presents followed by games in the evening.

When I go out for a smoke at my xw's house my DGD will come out with me and we'll play stones and jump around on the trampoline together. That will be enough to keep me smiling for ages.

Just being together
Having a lovely meal and lots of yummy food all day
Switching the world off

and not being at work :)

I'm most looking forward to enjoying watching DS and DD open their stockings, having a delicious dinner, cuddles while watching a film and when everyone is in bed and it is just me, a glass of mulled wine (or lemsip depending on how I'm feeling) and Call the Midwife and Downton :)

I'm looking forward to seeing my toddlers face when he sees his presents (he doesn't really get it but it's still cute). Christmas dinner (hosted by us :) ) cuddled up to my husband watching dr who, reading my new Christmas books and listening to my new Taylor swift cd (yes I am sad) xxx

WUME - how do you manage to get the xmas duvets off and the frozen ones on without waking the kids up!!

Seeing my friends! We've always been at home before so it will be a huge change and I can't wait. A movie, board games, craft activities are all on the cards.

And I know that for the first time ever I am getting my very own lego set :o I found out by accident what set DH got me (I asked for lego but didn't ask for something specific) and it is the one I really, desperately loved - but didn't think DH would be able to get his hands on. So very excited about building it!
