Who else is trying to get better before Christmas(and skiing!)

I should have known better than to book a skiing holiday for 27th Dec.

I got ill on Tuesday. Now I've stopped sneezing but I'm weak as a kitten. Worse, DS2 just complained of a headache...

Needless to say, this has messed up both work and Christmas prep. And we go skiing next Saturday on a holiday that takes a big slice out of the budget.

The relatives arrive Tuesday. Oh Dear. I'm good for nothing except watching Film 4.

Anyone else willing themselves better?

Sending masses of Get Well vibes, tissues & hot toddies to all on the thread. Put your feet up asap & put yourself first, even for just an hour or so.

I've begun feeling a tiny bit better, in as much as I'm no longer coughing up a lung when waking but still far from well. I am taking my own advice & just hanging out with the DCs for the remainder of the day. DH can finish the rest of the cleaning & tidying no matter how pissed tired he is when he gets back from work WinkGrin

Tgat does sound like proper flu.

I think the temperature goes down after 48 hours or so.

hi poor ill everyone

i posted a few days ago on a different thread feeling sick and very worried b4 christmas. seems to happen so so often to families b4 xmas what a f**ing pain! personally, i got my head together after some lovely posts and decided to drop the stress of christmas, and it made a massive difference, and now i feel better and am enjoying christmas. it depends what stage the bug is at, but if you feel it brewing i would drop as many expectations as poss and see if that helps. for me it was clear that dropping the pressure gave me the strength to fight the bug. but it's not always like that so big big hugs to all those out there feeling awful and wrapping presents, been there done that. xx

I agree, if you feel it brewing amd uou have the option of dumping some things, dump them. Otherwise you tend to crash.

I also got quite depressed as the cold faded and still feel a bit restless/anxious. What a wimp!
