o0 that sounds lovely, including the cards is such a good idea.

I was very pleased with the first picture on my advent calendar today (always an indication of what is to come, one year I had a strange one with all non Christmassy things behind the doors). Today was a star.

Erm... Ds had a chocolate out of his advent calendar... Does that count?!

I like to keep presents just for Christmas day (not judging). My kids get a wooden house advent with little chocs in and a felt tree advent (with velcro ornaments) which we re use each year.

Decided not to bother with redoing the playmobil calendar and just gave them all the pieces to play with (two sets worth), I also got out the Christmas books/some little teddies etc. My eldest is 6 now and lots of these things we reuse every year, they are our traditions - I know the DDs love seeing the same things brought out every year rather than being brought lots of new stuff.

Looking forward to watching our first Christmas movie after school today :)
