Would you like a flower subscription or is it pointless?!

My dad is having a cheese subscription for christmas with a set of cheese knives to open.

I'd like to get my mum something similar - a subscription to something. She's lost a lot of weight lately, although never large she's now pretty tiny - and wouldn't want a food type one. She doesn't really read magazines. The only thing I can think of is flowers. It's quite nice but I can't decide if it's worth it. I was thinking I could get a lovely new vase for her to open.

What do people think? Is it nice or pointless to get flowers in the post on the monthly basis? I always think flowers are nice but a bit of an 'I didn't know what to get you gift.'

I would love it. I always try to have flowers in the house but never spend too much money on those for myself whereas I would for friends and for my late Mum. They look lovely, the other alternative is to do the same but with a local to her florist.

I would love this!

How exciting! What other random items can you subscribe to?

Cake, sausages, chutneys, chocolates... Lots of edible subscriptions.

None edible less choice - beauty ones, jewellery ones and flowers are mainly what I've found.
