My favourite veg is either,

Salt caramel roast parsnips and carrots.

Or

The braised red cabbage I make a few days before and store in the fridge in my biggest Kilner jar. Smile

christmas eve- soup & crusty bread for dinner then buffet food at mother in-laws for tea.
chistmas day- im making smoked salmon starter, a huge turkey dinner (roast potatos & honey roasted parsnips, home made stuffing, pigs in blankets, mash, red cabbage, sprouts, peas and carrots, green beans and gravey) then two puddings with my parents then pate an cheeses for tea.
boxing day - cold cuts and real chips at my father in-laws for dinner then what ever our besties make us for tea at their house (their turn this year).

we spend the whole christmas eating and drinking GrinCakeWine

Does anyone have a full proof recipe/method for bubble and squeak?

I can't seem to do it the way my mum used too, it's always best with Christmas dinner left overs.

NCIS- my phone clearly has a good, early morning sense of humour! :-)

Titsalina - my method is chuck relevant left over in a bowl. Mix in an egg to bind, form into patties -and dust each with flour and fry. Not very specific I'm afraid. I some times cook some bacon and add it to the mix. That may be frustratingly vague.

Christmas eve for us is always maple, ginger, soy roast ham. boxing day is our traditional Christmas ham and cheese or turkey and stuffing toasties and Christmas soup.My children love our food traditions.
