Argh I'm 30 and have a Superdry coat! Are people laughing at me behind my back?!

GotToBe the teens will be, but they laugh at everybody and everything ;)

Superdry and Hollister still very much in, but we are a bit of a backwater and it takes a while for trends to permeate out to here.

I have two 13 year olds, south london, lots of superdry around here, and jack wills, hollister. One of mine loves it, the other hates it, prefers New Look, Top Shop, Forever 21.

Ginnycreeper - kids here don't choose NorthFace; that tends to be for older people here. I have a NorthFace coat; 12y dd wouldn't entertain it.

Lots of Hollister and Jack Wills being worn around here. My Dh (28) and my dad (54) wear super dry so I don't know if that's no longer popular with kids!

Isn't weird about regional differences and even among teenagers themselves.

In my area the smarter kids wear Superdry, Etnies, Vans and The North Face, and would never be seen in a pair of trackie bottoms while the others wear jog pants and Jack Wills, Jack and Jones,Hollister etc and never the two groups meet!

Yes Flip- I have a cousin the same age as my own ds1 (17) and they live in different parts of the country (us South east and cousin Cheshire), both similar backgrounds/incomes/education etc, but totally different ways of dressing. ds1 is all superdry/bank etc and dcousin is jack wills and Hollister or a&f.

ds2 is 12 almost 13 (yr8) and they are all superdry and north face is the latest brand they love. Thank goodness for Costco membership as that £200 jacket is less than £100 and the hoody for £35 instead of £60. Its only certain north face stuff though, the waterproof jackets/3in1 jackets and the hoodies but never the fleece on its own apparently.

Ds1 is able to buy The North Face jackets and Berghaus stuff through his job and gets them quite cheap ( cheaper than in the shops anyway) so he buys stuff for Ds2.
Everything is so expensive!
