Matalan - have some really nice alphabet mugs - only £2. Great for a little gift with hot chocolate/marshmallows or perhaps as part of a hamper?

TheEnchantedForest · 01/11/2014 23:06

We love Guess Who.

orchard games are fab for the 3-7 yr old age range.

Also love pop up pirate.

Im looking forward to introducing monopoly and ludo type games this Christmas (also have a 5yr old boy!)

AriaBanjo · 01/11/2014 23:08

My 3, 7 & 10yr old currently love frustration (Star Wars angry birds version).

Theonlyoneiknow · 01/11/2014 23:12

Oh thanks so much for the suggestions!! We have a few orchard games already, pop up pirate, fustration and snap but will deffo check the others out Flowers

2kidsintow · 01/11/2014 23:16

Thanks MrsAsprey - I shall check out the local homebargains.

I am within spitting distance (horrible phrase though it is...) of being finished for Christmas. Especially as DH is only having token presents this year after being an ungrateful arse so-and-so last year upon receiving my generous gift of a much needed laptop.

What I really need is for him to leave his laptop logged in so I can have a nose on Amazon just to see whether he has ordered a particular CD for himself. I can't ask as he'll say don't get it, or if I look on his computer and the cookies then show him it exists then he will probably buy it for himself. I wish this Christmas buying stuff was EASY! Sigh.

GerbilsAteMyCat · 01/11/2014 23:18

Skylanders games are v good.
You could get the spyro's adventure one too somewhere secondhand and use the Giants portal. Lots of cheap figures in smyths as well and second hand in cex/game. Trap team also good, better to buy extra traps rather than trap masters.

beadyboo · 01/11/2014 23:22

I really, really want this No 7 skincare gift for myself. Does anyone know if this ever become the Boots star gift and reduce in price? At £75 it's hard to justify at the moment!
Today these bracelets arrived in the post from Amazon. Bought one each to go in DDs stockings. I'm really impressed for the price £1.75 + £2 p and p especially as I'd forgotten I'd ordered them.

2kidsintow · 01/11/2014 23:24

DD1 (13) was most impressed by the zip-up headphones in Boots 3 for 2 deals. She said she hates the wires coming apart/undone/tangling and thought the zip design was inspired (she may have said cool).

I was less than impressed by the £12 price tag, so I searched for zip headphones on amazon and found lots of different types in different colours for about £3 with free p&p.

Here. www.amazon.co.uk/Selling-world-Fashionalble-Microphone-Tangle-Free/dp/B00LBX0UL4/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1414884210&sr=8-6&keywords=zip+headphones

EustaciaVye · 02/11/2014 01:19

MooseyMoo · 02/11/2014 07:02

Argos are starting their 3 4 2 on toys again this Wed.

MooseyMoo · 02/11/2014 07:20

John Lewis has some Lego reduced but it's not advertised ...

Lego Duplo Fire station 6168 £25.99
Lego Artic base camp £46
Lego City Mobil Police Unit £21
Lego Rapunzel's tower £27.99

Looks like it's being price matched but not sure who.

Highfivethatfart · 02/11/2014 07:21

Nothing to bring to the party but wanted to say Thanks for the Pumkin Patch code and the Mincraft stocking fillers link to Ebay.

Just need to buy a couple annuals for DS's stockings now.....where's the best place/site for these bargain wise....

Which reminds me ..... Going off topic now I grew up with a pillow case as a stocking which I now do for DS's but DH thinks that bonkers???

SpottyTeacakes · 02/11/2014 07:25

We had pillow cases which eventually turned into tesco carrier bags Hmm

EsmereldaPB · 02/11/2014 07:28

We had pillow cases too

blacktreaclecat · 02/11/2014 07:51

Anyone seen a Lakeland code at all? Thinking I might get DH this for Christmas
www.lakeland.co.uk/19671/Lavazza-Amodo-Mio-Coffee-Machine
Thank you for this thread, I'm loving it.

Howaboutthisone · 02/11/2014 07:51

The super marble run is on lightening deals but isn't as bargainous as the mega one was yesterday. Iirc mega was down to 10.49 from
20 something, super is 12.99 down from 16-17.

It was on my 'I'll get it if I find a bargain' list and now I'm more dosappointed that I missed yesterday's! If anyone sees it at a more bargainous price I'd be really grateful for a heads up!

PogoBob · 02/11/2014 07:52

I had a pillow case as a child, DD started with a pillow case but DM made DD and DS stockings 2 years back which we now use.

They look huge so always panic about them being underfilled but for some reason never seem to be able to fit much in!

waithorse · 02/11/2014 07:52

High, I bought annuals last time Argos was doing 342. They where half price, so 3 annuals for £8. Seemed to be a good price. --Also looking forward to buying more when Argos reduces them after Christmas to 99p*.
