Presents for cyclists

dh is a keen cyclist. He cycles to work and occasional weekend jaunts by himself - just along canals or established routes, not mountain biking.

Would like to get him some kind of cycling related present or stocking filler.

Not clothes or books. I bought him a tool set to take on cycles with him in the past. He has all the panniers he will ever need. Any other thoughts?

i got dh a cycle computer thing last christmas, it measures distance, speed etc. He certainly liked it and still uses it now.

Wiggle vouchers? Good website to start on for ideas anyway.

Chopstheduck · 28/10/2014 14:00

what about some decent rechargeable lights?

NorbertDentressangle · 28/10/2014 14:00

A Camelback? Like a rucksack but is a hydration pack so he can drink whilst cycling.

Does he have Id tags?

A cyclist near here was knocked down and killed, took a week before he was identified as he lived alone, no id and noone reported him missing Sad

On a happier note, my dh is also having an insulated drinks bottle for carrying tea in. Smile

Oh god, I don't think I could explain that as a stocking filler Katie.

A canister with compressed air for when he has a puncture? They're tiny and much easier to carry than a normal pump.

I'm looking for a similar type of present for my brother but sadly can't take the cannister on the plane...

I bought dh a cycling computer and a Camelbak rucksack like this for previous birthdays - gone down very well. That Camelbak is good as it is part hydration pack and part rucksack. Last birthday he got cycling shoes and a drop seatpost - but that's more of a mountain bike thing. No idea what to get him this year as I think I've exhausted most biking things.

A cycling magazine subscription? It never ceases to a amaze me how much DH loves reading about all things bikes.

My DH is a keen cyclist and last year I bought him an in case of emergency sports bracelet. He wears it whenever he's out.
