My DD has 6 little friends (all nearly 3) who will be buying her a Christmas present this year. Has anyone got any idea of what we could buy them? Money is very tight at the moment so we need something that looks decent but doesn't cost the earth. We usually buy the same for each child. Thank you for any help x

The works have some really lovely books on 3 for £10.

Look up 'my busy books' they are £5 in most supermarkets and go down very well with this age group. They love the little figures

Poundland had some nice Mr Men jigsaw things in when I went in yesterday - they looked decent quality.

I'd get a couple of Book People sets and split them up. We did this for a flurry of first birthdays recently with a couple of Julia Donaldson sets (think it was £10 for ten books?).

My 2 had a love affair with something like this at that age:
www.amazon.co.uk/Large-Light-Up-Galaxy-Spinner/dp/B00CFJJ1QS/ref=sr_1_2?s=kids&ie=UTF8&qid=1414530893&sr=1-2&keywords=large+light+up+ball

Or I've seen these recommended on here - might work alongside a cheap book maybe: www.amazon.co.uk/The-Online-Stores-FLASHING-BOUNCE-SPIKE/dp/B005RROHPU/ref=pd_bxgy_k_h_b_cs_img_y

Or a 12 piece or so jigsaw - lots of choice around the £5-6 mark but there are a few around £3.50 on Amazon

Imaginabox Cradle is £2.93 instead of £9.99 on Amazon.

I like to buy arts and crafts stuff as it's the sort of thing that everyone needs more of (eventually anyway) so it doesn't matter if the child already has play dough or a sticker book or whatever, another one is fine. I think it is a safer bet than the Book People sets, unless you choose something unusual or you know which books the other children have.
Pound shops can be great for arts and craft stuff.

Tiger has a few things if you have one near? Things like green cup stilts, light up wands a bit like the one posted about earlier that looks like a microphone but for £3, crafty beads/stickers and wooden dolls - loads more - all under £5. Hopefully this link will work but they don't have a webshop atm so you'd have to visit an actual shop to get them (if it isn't showing the stilts you can scroll along past the choking hazards Grin www.tigerstores.co.uk/tiger_kids/games.html

Actually the 'Toys' tab is better - just scroll past the magnifyer and you can see more of the things my DD loves and will be getting for stocking fillers!

I have just bought a lovely little beaded personalised bracelet with my dd name on it from eBay. Loads of then on there. Think I only paid about £3

Orchard games. They are often 2 for £8 in Morrison's.
