Is your tree themed or 'eclectic'?

As in, do you go for a colour scheme/'look' or is it a glorious mishmash of much loved decs?

I've done a colour scheme type thing for years - last few has been natural wood and red, a few years ago we had blues and purples and so on. Over the years we've collected some gorgeous bits and bobs and this year I'm tempted to chuck them all on the tree, reds, purples, wood, glass, metallic, all of it together. Will it look sweet and eclectic or just a bit clashy and crap? Will I itch for order?!

What do you do, tree wise?

Mine is always 'eclectic' . I think co-ordinated trees can look beautiful, but to me they always look soulless. Colourful trees are reminders of a lovely childhood for me...

I have all kinds of decorations and try to buy a Christmas ornament whenever I go on holiday. I don't 'do' ornaments around the house, I'm very mininalist - so I make up for it at Christmas, then they all get packed away again win/win.

Eclectic. Lots of lovely things I've collected over the years or the kids have made. Colour schemes for trees does not float my boat at all.
