I'm struggling for a main christmas present for DD7... She has nothing that shes particularly "into"... She already has a tv, tablet, bike, blades, scooters x2, dolls house, numerous barbies that don't get played with, a new baby doll for birthday, baby pram, karaoke machine...any ideas??

I am in the same boat. DD has asked for teksta kitty (groan). She also wants a pull on suitcase for traveling (good idea), a book on birds (no problem) and that's about it!

Luckily she needs a new bike, but not sure if will get for Xmas or for birthday in spring. Outgrown her rollerblades, but barely used the last time!
Thinking of a pogo stick
Will watch your thread for ideas!

coffeetofunction · 22/10/2014 11:35

Pogo stick could be good, didn't think of that...

On my saved list on amazon I also have

Girl tech Password journal (picked up from another thread)
One of those little live pets

BuzzardBird · 22/10/2014 11:45

Get the smyths toy catalogue and give her a pen?

bertieboo · 22/10/2014 11:55

How about an experience? Like a trip to disneyworld in Florida?
Wrap her favourite character up and announce that you will all be going for a week at Easter (or whenever)

Otherwise my DD is into loom bands (annoying).

My lovely housekeeper has got her interested in sewing, so this Christmas I'm buying her a small inexpensive one from JohnLewis.

Lego friends is always fun and she still enjoys doing sticker mosaics.

In the past she has also been given an endangered spieces "pet" - a snow leopard, and she adores receiving the updates in the post.

Finally she is really into playing board games. As an only child it's a fun way for us to spend time with each other doing something fun, and it does get wildly competitive. Uno is a great stocking filler, as are Top Trumps.

Hope a few of those suggestions are helpful!

I wish we'd thought of an experience before I bought for the eldest...maybe next year... She got a secret diary for her birthday, we often play board games, between the older 2 I think they have all the ones they'd like but I will defiantly look at them. I've got stocking fillers covered its just the "big" present I'm stuck with Confused

Coffee does she like the secret diary? If yes, can I ask which one you got?

I can second the endangered pet, my DD got a rhino, enjoys the updates )and cuddly toy) and has allowed us to have conversations about endangered animals.

coffeetofunction · 22/10/2014 15:36

She got the secret diary not the journal one...she like it as it has a camera, can play games, has a password...guess it depends on what your DD like doing Smile

Couldn't the experience be something smaller than a Disneyland trip though?! Something that might just be for her and not her siblings?

I'm struggling too for my DD same age. Barbies and other toys hardly played with - she likes messy play outside, building dens or colouring and drawing. There are only so many colouring books you can get!

coffeetofunction · 23/10/2014 09:23

That sounds exactly like my DD...I've always worried about her imaginative play- or lack of, but she seems happy enough...

fuzzpig · 23/10/2014 15:24

DD is getting a monster high doll (yuck but can't blame DH for snapping up a bargain - she will be over the moon)

Loads of lego - particularly one of the creator house sets

Books

Board games

Not really getting a main 'big' present this year.

fuzzpig · 23/10/2014 15:24

(Although the lego house will be about £25 so that is quite big for our budget really)

BlueChampagne · 23/10/2014 15:35

Magazine subscription?
Horse-riding lesson?
