Snapfish are still offering 50% or more off photo calendars. I've ordered one for DD using her photos from the Paris trip she's just come back from with school.

OodneedsanOod · 18/10/2014 20:16

PoopPoooDeDooo · 18/10/2014 20:20

Has anyone seen a discount on national geographic for kids? (Or similar) I'm sure that it was on this thread last year Smile Envy

neddle · 18/10/2014 20:30

here £9 for 6 months

HopeAndStories · 18/10/2014 20:37

I did a lot of RL shopping again today.

A few of the things I got-

From Debenhams- a small gift set in a pretty box of Ted baker perfume and I think body wash for £5

Whilst in Debenhams, I saw a good looking board game and it was £20. So I got my phone out and googled and it was £11.98 on Amazon so ordered it when I got home (it's Race Night btw) So it's always worth a check before you buy anything in RL (though I'm sure that's a given!)Wink

Frozen chocolate bars for 79p from B&M

From Home Bargains- a bottle of this Juicy Couture perfume for £12.99 (rrp £35 and it's selling for £23 on Amazon!)

A bottle of this men's Issey Miyake EDT for £19.99 (rrp £36, selling for £23.50 on Amazon)

A couple of their versions of mini Yankee candles. A pumpkin pie one and a fireside treats rip off one for 49p each! They smell identical to YC ones!

A lovely tin of Mucha Camilla chocolates for £2.99 rrp £11.99 (I think)

An absolutely GIANT gingerbread man for £2.99. It must be over 30cm tall!

Dorothy Perkins had 20% off lots of stuff and I got a load of dresses a really nice floral dressing gown in the offer (sorry can't remember how much it was) and some nice jewellery reduced.

Then from Tesco I got a pair of rip off pair of men's red converse for DH for £5 (the label said £10 so win!)

They also had what they call Toblerone tablets. Basically a huge chunk of a toblerone for £1.

Not a bargain but I have pre ordered the new Robin Williams Christmas film- A Merry Christmas Miracle, for £8.50.

I got loads more stuff too and I feel sad they weren't to be found cheaper!

Ooh, I got a set from Benefit for £29.50 I think it was, which has 10 items in. I'm taking them and some other bits, like the Christmas bath bombs and chocolates I found today, and I'm making my own advent calender. I can't wait! I feel like I need a treat for all the hard shopping I've been doing! Wink And I didn't feel like paying £60 for the benefit calender when a lot of it is hair bands and the like.

For anybody making up hampers, here is a link for coffee bags.

lyonscoffeeuk.com/products

Most supermarkets stock them and cost about 2.80 for a box of 18 individually wrapped bags.

MissLurkalot · 18/10/2014 20:40

Can anyone recommend a cute first make up set for my 6 year old daughter? Maybe in a bag? Any ideas?

Pollywallywinkles · 18/10/2014 20:49

TKMax have got quite a few things in suitable for Christmas gifts.

The following were found in my local store today:

Elemis sets for teen skin
gingerbread house kits of varying sizes
Lovely Christmas decorations at reasonable prices
Christmas cards and christmas crackers

HopeAndStories · 18/10/2014 20:49

I just had to take a photo of the giant £2.99 gingerbread man!

I forgot to say I also bought a bag of those humongous marshmallows you get in the USA section of Tesco reduced to £3.75 (still a lot for marshmallows!!) I thought I'd put them in our Christmas eve hamper and toast them over the fire :)

Got one of them springy epilator things.... Ordered it Thursday it arrived today and is amazing!!!

masynywlad · 18/10/2014 20:51

I'm very tempted by the national geographic for kids but not sure. DD is 9 and very girly, can anyone recommend a basic but slightly grown up magazine or basic pop type magazine? They have Beano weekly at the moment and I've signed DS up for the gaming one that someone posted this morning, thanks to who posted.

Passthebiscuitspls · 18/10/2014 20:56

Ust wanted to say thanks to whoever it was that posted the £20 tesco direct code. I used it to buy an iPad mini for my DS as I had over £150 in clubcard vouchers as well so it was sooooo cheap! He's gonna be thrilled! Xx

FlipFlippingFlippers · 18/10/2014 21:09

Been lurking a while but just wanted to warn against the national geographic kids magazine. Its approx 75% adverts. Its awful.

2kidsintow · 18/10/2014 21:13

My DD loves it, Flip. She had it from the offer last year and then they offered £19 for the renewal for the year and she was missing having it. She always takes it in for 'golden reading' at school when it comes.

NormHonal · 18/10/2014 21:18

MissLurkalot does your DD like Frozen? Tesco have been selling a Frozen advent calendar for £15 that includes little accessories and make-up bits. That might be a different approach?

In the past I've got some little Minnie Mouse make-up bits. Can't remember where I got them though, sorry.

ShowMeShowMeTheWine · 18/10/2014 21:23

ilove I hope you've had a successful day rl shopping and made it back in one piece? ! Grin

runningincircles · 18/10/2014 21:26

Disney On Ice 'Magical Ice Festival' tickets can be bought on early release from Ticket Master with priority code FE33DPE. Not at all bargainous, but may be desirable to many.

The link can be found on DayTripFinder on Facebook, I can't seem to be able to copy it.

Just got our tickets for April, looking forward to seeing their faces light up!

dawnky1983 · 18/10/2014 21:35

iloveholidays · 18/10/2014 21:48

Just about showmeshowme. I have to say I don't enjoy RL shopping as much as I used to!!! Grin

I managed to get some festive pyjamas for £4 in primark. also some expandable flannels for £1.

I got a few bits from poundland, Christmas decorations mostly.

also picked up a light up house decoration piece from home bargains.

still need to sort duvet sets, character pyjamas and a few more craft bits.

I think I'm more of an online shopper!!! Grin

I've just spent 3 hours labelling bits up for the nearly new sale tomorrow, hoping to make some money to pay for everything!!! Grin

ShowMeShowMeTheWine · 18/10/2014 22:05

Grin Glad you had fun ilove, I'm hoping to get a few bits tomorrow and finish off. Need some wrapping paper and cards too.

Dawnky what makes you say that? I did mine earlier today and it seemed to be fine? Also, the link is still working?

nickdrakeslovechild · 18/10/2014 22:09
