Does anyone know if argos will do another 3for2 anytime soon? Poundland has frozen advent calendars, nail polishes etc in just now, great little stocking fillers... Apparently they are doing little mermaid things too Smile

iloveholidays · 21/10/2014 09:59

LoopyLoo89 · 21/10/2014 10:09

Hi, been a lurker since last year but wanted to say that I have just had to cancel my debit card due to two payments taken by ali express that I hadn't authorised. I have never ordered from them and not placed any orders online in the last week so know it wasn't me. Thought it was worth posting so you can keep an eye on your accounts.

Badvoc123 · 21/10/2014 10:09

Reastie...my 2 are HHTYD mad :)
We have lots of the toys!
I can recommend....
The transforming shield.
The vapour breath toothless.
The new film will be out in DVD at the end of November...I have pre ordered it.
The book people did do a set of the books which was really good value.
I have just got ds1 a HTTYD journal from amazon for £6.
There is also a HTTYD top trumps (amazon) which they enjoy playing with.

chocolaterainbow · 21/10/2014 10:14

TDX-HTRW gives £10 off a £50 spend for 'new' customers on Tesco direct (they've toys and soapy gift sets on sale too), just bought my brother a home brew set as well as some stocking fillers for everyone else and loads of tat

WildFlowersAttractBees · 21/10/2014 10:25

I go away for a weekend and you guys are almost 600 posts into the new thread.... I am off to read up!

BuddyKringleberry · 21/10/2014 10:38

Big thanks to whoever posted about the Lego Chima half price set from Toys R Us, just been down to collect mine!!

I really am stopping buying for the kids now no matter how big of a bargain it is x

Reastie · 21/10/2014 10:43

Thanks for the HTTYD ideas. Thing is, it's for a 9/10 YO so I think some of these toys will be a bit young (I have no idea really though, I'm clueless)? Can't get the DVD as someone else is getting that.

Loving these threads as usual Reastie :)

I need inspiration for my DM. She is always so hard to buy for :(

Badvoc123 · 21/10/2014 10:59

How about the dragon riders of berk DVDs?
My dc have the riders of berk and defenders of berk DVDs.
I think the journal might be nice for that age group?

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 21/10/2014 11:17

did u see the book? also think they were originally a series of books not sure what age they are aimed at though!

we have the defenders of Berk DVD which badvoc suggests my dd likes it so do I!!

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 21/10/2014 11:20

also build a bear apparently have a toothless think its about £20 though so not really a bargain!!

clr2014 · 21/10/2014 11:20

Does anyone have insider info on when the next M&s 20% event will be? And does anyone have a debenhams or matalan code or have they all expired? Decided to just buy clothes this year for my impossible to buy for dad... but it has to be a bargain - obviously!

DaisyFlowerChain · 21/10/2014 11:44

For those with a B&M, they have some great odd items amongst the usual stuff. A nice gift box of three christmas beers for £3.99 and Mainbu sets etc for £2.99 in decent sizes boxes and with nice glasses. For those with teens Paul's Boutique perfume and body lotion set was £7.99, never heard of it but I was asked to keep an eye out for some.

MaddHatter · 21/10/2014 11:52

Has anyone been to the sainsburys toy sale? Is it worth going? Is an hour round trip for me so don't want to waste time!

chocolaterainbow · 21/10/2014 11:53

Lego Chima Speedorz thingy half price, now £7.50 at Tesco Direct. (It's all about Tesco this morning isn't it!) Free delivery with click and collect too. A warning though, don't take DC in to collect as my order came unwrapped last time! (Or ask staff to pop in a bag out of sight?)

kiwidreamer · 21/10/2014 12:15

loopyloo that's awful and such a hassle but how on earth do they have your details when you've never ordered from them? Is it because your details have been stolen from an unrelated online purchase and the perpetrator has used your details on ali express???

I guess the real warning is always purchase from online stores with the padlock thingy in the URL, I must admit I've gotten lazy in the last few years as online shopping is so common now.

GiraffesEatStingingNettles · 21/10/2014 12:33

Love these threads, but am always conscious that I find more bargains than I share on them. Anyhow, this is my recent discovery:

'Woolovers'. Lovely quality british wool knitwear - not bargain prices, but vvv good value for what you get.

(If you follow this link I get lovely referral money-back SmileWoolovers )

OldRoan · 21/10/2014 12:34

cupcake if you google view master gift set there are some. They mainly seem to be in America, so you would need to check shipping costs/time.
The cheapest viewfinder I can find is star wars but I assume you can out other discs in (amazon sell them - just type viewmaster in).
I've spotted Spider-Man but pretty sure it comes from the USA.

o0 · 21/10/2014 12:38

I won't be buying from Womdee on Amazon again. They sent the wrong item and they were so slow in dealing with it. Eventually they agreed to refund the item but they were veeeeery slow to do that and I've just checked and the cocks have only refunded half!

It's not a lot of money but it's the principle. I had about 8 Womdee item on my wish list so they're all getting deleted.

LoopyLoo89 · 21/10/2014 12:38

Kiwidreamer I'm not sure. The majority of my orders are placed on my kindle so don't know if the security is as strong as using a comp.

Gatekeeper · 21/10/2014 12:41

Has anyone ever received their the LED nightlight things? I ordered four on different days and none has tunred up. One by one I've received an email from the seller saying "Hello Dear" and saying that the item was returned to them by customs. They have refunded but I wanted the lights!

Holfin · 21/10/2014 12:45
