That's what I was expecting tbh Liquid.
We'll have to google the instructions and maybe print them off, I'll have a look around. I know I saved a couple of webpages about apps for the iphone
I hope mine have arrived when I get in from work then.

RumAppleGinger · 20/10/2014 10:53

The Jolly Christmas Postman is available on the Book People website for 4.99. Be careful though, it is listed twice, once for 10.50 and at this link for 4.99. both appear to be hardback versions.

SisterMoonshine · 20/10/2014 10:56

Oh and does anyone know anything about printers?
For an ipad
I'm thinking for DD (10) She's enjoying using 'pages' to make documents.
Do I need 'Airprint' or whatever it is.
And then would she still be able to use it with a basic Windows laptop (supposing she were to get one in the future)
Needs to be pretty easy to use.

I probably need to ask in geeky stuff.

beadyboo · 20/10/2014 10:59

My Wainwright books have just arrived from the bookpeople. Very pleased with them.
Thanks for info on Razor spark scooters. Anyone any idea on difference between DLX spark scooters and regular? Was going to get a red for DD2 and blue for DD1, but blue is twice the price in DLX model.

SpottyTeacakes · 20/10/2014 10:59

I've got a canon mg3150 that prints from my phone, ipad and laptop if that's any help?!

Where is a good place to get christmas tableware? I have visitors the weekend before christmas so would like to do a nice christmassy type lunch, with nice placemats etc.

scopeisawesome123 · 20/10/2014 11:11

Ooooooh I tried the glamour body shop set gift thing and it came today! Serum and vitamin e moisturiser for a pound- direct debit cancelled :) I got them last year and it took 2 months for the gift to come through. Used the same account too-

BuddyKringleberry · 20/10/2014 11:21

only girl poundland had some nice red felt cut out placemats. Looked more expensive then they were. Matalan also have some lovely tableware.

I've just popped into b&q and got distracted by the singing/dancing/super tacky christmas novelty items. My twin girls were mesmerised. My boys would love them too! Does anyone know if b&q tend to discount their christmas items pre-christmas? They're £15 each and need would like at least two x

DaisyFlowerChain · 20/10/2014 11:29

Tesco have their gift sets half price from today, it's online but presume in store too.

MissRainbowBrite · 20/10/2014 11:34

Daisy, I must have just caught it before they removed the offer. I had wavered all weekend so was quite pleased I caught it.

SisterMoonshine · 20/10/2014 11:40

Thanks Spotty, I'll have a look.

TheOnlyPink · 20/10/2014 11:49

Amazon Christmas shop has started. Probably rubbish, but just sharing cos the rest of the world is catching up and it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas Grin

vindscreenviper · 20/10/2014 11:55

Home Bargains in Durham have some Frozen Toddler Anna dolls this morning for £17.99 and Elsa Snow Wands for £7.99. I bought them for my 5 & 8 y.o. nieces so I hope they are still the 'in' thing Confused

Coughle · 20/10/2014 12:10

I just received this email:

"Thank you for your email regarding Kids Magstore magazine.

Unfortunately the Octonaughts magazine is only available to be purchased at the shops only in the UK.

I do apologise for any disappointment this may cause."

Sob... I will just go back to lurking now...

DaisyFlowerChain · 20/10/2014 12:12

Coughie, is postage very expensive from UK to Australia?

curlingandtwirling · 20/10/2014 12:16

I bought my Christmas tree yesterday Grin, half-price from Homebase I wasn't impressed with their selection of lights though, so suggestions needed for bargain lights!

Decided not to have a real one so couldn't resist a bargain! I can't wait to decorate it! Candles lit, Christmas tunes on, wine... maybe it's a little too early to do it tonight Hmm

Titsalinabumsquash · 20/10/2014 12:32

Oh speaking of lights! This is something I know will all tickle you bargain hunters. Grin

I have a big tree but I also have a little 3ft tree for each of my children's bedrooms.
I didn't want them to have lights plugged into the mains so I went into poundland and got them a couple of sets each of battery powered lights in the shape of trees/candy canes and Father Christmas, they all come in different colours.
I also got some of poundlands AA batteries and each set takes 1 battery.

My boys were so pleased with their tree that after Christmas they wanted to keep them as they were so I lifted the whole decorated trees into the loft and accidentally left the lights turned on.

I went into my loft yesterday and both trees are still lit up with the same battery lights with with original battery! I'm amazed that they have lasted a year on constantly!

I always smile when I pop into the loft and see them there all festive and cheerful, it causes DP to make this face >>> Hmm at me. Grin

I have now managed to place 3 orders with Rakuten, using 3 different emails but everything else the same. Spent a tenner altogether i think and saved 15!

wigglesrock · 20/10/2014 13:03

I was in my local Smyths earlier - they have MLP Equestria Dolls reduced. I think they may be last years versions but some were 22.99 down to 11.99 and 17.99 down to 9.99.

marne2 · 20/10/2014 13:06

Rakuten code not working for me either Sad

clr2014 · 20/10/2014 13:08

Anyone seen Sew-cool on offer?
