Dd nearly 4. I want to suggest DVDs to GPs as Christmas presents.

Dd currently loves:

Princess Sofia
Frozen

She quite likes:

Tinkerbell
The Little Mermaid
Cinderella

She is terrified of:
Tangled

She has shown no interest whatsoever in Brave.

What do you think she might like?

Hi coldfeet. She really wanted it so I bought it and they how the witch at the very beginning and she just screamed until I turned it off. She begged me to give it away but has relented and let's me keep it cover down on a high shelf!

Not seen doc mcstubbins. Or any of those other classics. Except she's seen 101 Dalmatians and not fussed. I got happy feet for £3 on amazon this week for her stocking.

How strange. That's the 2nd time this week that I have heard of a DC being scared of the opening of Tangled. DD has never batted an eyelid at that (although she says uh-oh every time the ship sinks in Frozen) and it's such a quick sequence that it has never occured to me that it might scare some children!

Doc McStuffins is another programme on Disney Junior - I have found that those that like Sofia also like Doc McStuffins. Quite a nice programme as well.

We always skip the beginning of Finding Nemo, but that's for me not the kids. Makes me weep!

My Dd is scared of the opening scene of Tangled too! And the bit where the mother realises Rapunzel is gone and unbricks the tower entrance, and the bit where they are running away and water is roaring down on them. And any bit with anyone being hit by a frying pan. And any bit with the horse. And the end sequence in the tower (which actually is a bit scary). She still likes watching it though, just some bits have to be "watched" with her face buried in my lap.
She was also petrified of Wallace and Gromit, we couldn't get past the first scene.

Kipper the dog. Percy the park keeper.

Also, she might like Laura's Star.

Lego Movie and Up are my 4yo's current favourites.

Dd is just 4 and not a great film fan because it mainly involves paying attention but hits have been:

Frozen
Tinkerbell and the lost treasure
Toy stories
Postman pat movie
Home alone

Ds at this age was much more a movie goer and loved:

Ghostbusters
Star Wars
Elf
Old Charlie and the chocolate factory
Old miracle on 34th street
Space jam
Matilda
