Sleeping arrangements for guests but no spare bedrooms!

I need some sleeping arrangement help for Christmas!

We live in a smallish 3 bed, it was a 2 bed but we converted a large bedroom into 2 bedrooms so the kids got a space of their own.

I may have my dad stay for 2 nights over Christmas plus my two brothers over for at least a 4 nights, they live abroad, so just one or two nights staying with us isn't worth their journey.

I have a large living room but that is it. No other spare rooms like dining rooms etc

My dad could stay in one of my kids beds and my kids could share for a while but they are getting big, so top to tailing may be okay for one night but anymore and they may start killing each other.

I can't afford to stick my brothers in a hotel and they can't afford it either, I will pay for their fare in advance to spread the cost of that.

Are camp beds still lumpy and impractical and what about air beds? I so would love a Christmas all together, I just need another house to fit us all in Envy

YYY to asking camper friends, I would happily lend my lovely thick SIMs which are super comfy for sleeping on to my friends in such circs - I'm not going to be camping at Christmas!

Also worth a text round any of your friends you're suitably close to - maybe someone is going away and would happily let your brothers/dad use their house? I'd be very happy to have (close) friends' relatives house sit for me if I were away.

I have spent a week on one of those army bed things myfirstname linked too. Really comfy and fold down in to a duffle bag.

One of my best ever purchases was an aerobed. It's a double blow up divan ( plug it in and press a button to inflate and deflate). It has a mattress cover included. When it's up, it looks and feels like an ordinary bed, so I can turn my sitting room into a very comfortable spare room.

I spent a few nights on one of those air bed type things and the whole night my arse touched the floor Confused are the aero beds a bit more robust?

Does anyone you know have a caravan or campervan they wouldn't mind parking up on your drive over Xmas? It's a bit chilly for a tent, but with an electric hook-up from the house that would give you an extra room.

Airbeds these days are pretty good too, better than the lilo type things I used to have to sleep on as a kid.

Our air bed is the same height as a normal bed, so no danger of any arses touching the floor, unless you get a puncture (which does happen sometimes, unfortunately).

But you do get cold underneath so worth putting an under-blanket on under the sheet.

The aerobeds are fantastic. I'm not a huge fan of inflatable mattresses because they always seem cold and they give too much. The aerobed feels pretty much like an ordinary bed and is the same height as a divan.
