My dd will be 2 in January, so obviously her Christmas / birthday presents need to be a spread of stuff she can play with for the entire 2-3 age range! Any ideas?
I'm already thinking of asking in laws to get her dressing up stuff for a box I'm putting together, and an aqua doodle.. But other than that I'm at a loss!
She's likes stuff for both genders- her current favourite toy is a tool bench and hammer!

My son was 2 last December. He got some playmobil 123 stuff, and it is much loved. Honestly been played with every day. I had no hopes for it, it seemed so basic and a little boring, but the fire station has been everything from a shop, to a hospital, to an airport. I got him the house for this Christmas, but they have loads of little sets, and some big ones like the zoo.

We've got the ikea mammut and the ikea pots and pans for DS last Xmas. He spent days making us meals. The chairs are also strong enough to hold adults so we can sit and play with DS.

I'm going to look at playmobil, I had it when I was younger and loved it but thought DS would be too young but hopefully not.

Is the playmobil 123 stuff just the playmobil version of happyland/
Wow toys?

Showed dp the malmut table and chairs, which I love.. He hates them :( he preferred the traditional white and pine ones, so a maybe il clearly just get the ones I like and he will grow to love them!!

I think I may just need to go to ikea :/ I've always avoided going because I know if spend ££££!

We have the ones from your first link, the laat ones. They are great for us, the table top is wipe clean. To be fair, the wooden sides and legs are now a bit stained by paint, but we don't care too much about that. I might paint it when she gets a but older. It is lovely - light-weight, which is great for toddlers. Plus, I seem to be moving it around every five minutes to facilitate her play, so great for me too!

Do you have Brio? Or fake brio? You neeeeed to get this because it's so much fun to build the tracks and you can get all kinds of trains and you can play with it in conjunction with 4978 other toys and I still played with mine when I was about 12 really durable and infinitely expandable, so gives lots and lots of value. And you can keep it in the family or pass/sell it on when the kids are grown as it lasts forever.

I love these and wanted to buy them for DS but left it too late. www.ryman.co.uk/ryman-childrens-table-and-chair-set

This is what I'm getting my dd for Xmas as we don't have room for a proper kitchen.

A little pushchair and doll? My DD is 2.2yo and it's her favourite thing of the moment! And we're getting her a doll's house for Christmas.

She's loves anything 'small world' at the moment...like our toy farm (we have this one and it's lovely) and she's recently discovered DS's old Fireman Sam toys which she is playing with loads at the moment.

Scooter, books, flashcards, arts and crafts, play-doh, teaset, play food, kitchen, dress-up, vehicles, puzzles...

I love that ryman table! Will Deff show that to dp but I think they both will love it!
Put the table top kitchen on the list, thank you!
What do you mean by flash cards? They sound interesting!!

Flashcards are more of a stocking filler really. They are individual cards usually with a letter and pic of a common object on them. So like 'Aa' and pic of an apple, 'Bb' and pic of a ball, 'Cc' and pic of a cat. It helps them build up their vocab and get them used to seeing and recognising letters.

There's loads of games you can play with them...I lay about 6 cards down in front of her and we play I spy with my little eye. She really enjoys it.
