Would a Peppa Pig house and figures be good for a 2 year old?

DS loves Peppa Pig - is two old enough for figures/house etc? We have the usual toddler toys already - bike, train set, Duplo, building blocks, books, crayons, cars etc.

DD got a set of Peppa figures at two and she is nearly three and still plays with them. Must say they are really handy for.chucking in a handbag when we go somewhere.

Another thing she got at two.was a play kitchen (ikea one) and her and all her little pals gravitate towards it!

The Peppa pig figures are unfortunately shit. Spindly arms, poor quality.

How about Playmobil 123, they have some nice sets for that age? Indestructible.

Our peppa pig house has been played with for 5 years despite mummy pig losing an arm early on. Looks shoddy but surprisingly durable. Packs away neatly too.

My nearly two year old would just throw them about, he is getting a Cozy Coupe for his birthday as he gravitates towards them whenever we are out.

If your son is good at playing with small objects and the figures are suitable for his age I don't see the harm in trying (except of course if they are a choke risk!)

Our Peppa Pig characters have lasted really well even with non gentle ds who is now 3. Some were second hand too. They look spindly but we've had no breakages apart from poor Madame Gazelle's antlers. They house would go down a storm with a 2 year old and you can add other bits eg car, Grandpa pig's train etc. Highly recommend them.

Our peppa pig characters are played with every day, dd is 2 and loves them! Unfortunately madam gazelle has lost her antlers, and George is missing his arm, but we have had them for ages. We also have the aeroplane, car and fairground! Smile

Dd has had peppa figures and toys since about 2 because she got ds's hand me downs . She's just turned 4 and got more to go with her collection. Then house is shit IMO but the little characters are fine.

I've just bought PP house, school set and characters at B&M for DD2 who is 3YO and a massive Peppa fan. I wish I had bought them when she was 2, but as a late developer, she's only just showing interest in characters and programs now. I think 2 is fine.

AnotherStitchInTime · 28/09/2014 19:56

My 2 year old has them and is fine.

The weeble peppa pig sets seem a bit more sturdy than the others

BuntyCollocks · 29/09/2014 16:22

I'm getting our nearly 2 year old the weebles peppa pig and house - maybe that would be a good alternative as it looks pretty hardwearing?

Lovelydiscusfish · 29/09/2014 20:10

My dd got the Peppa house last Christmas when she was 1.8. She loved it then and does now. I will warn you, it is rubbish quality though! The paint on George's eyes quickly wore off so he looks a bit macabre now - I have to tell dd he is asleep when she asks! The ladder on the bunk beds comes off immediately you do anything reckless like play with it. And you have to take the stairs off the house every time you put it away, and they're a bugger to re-attach.
Other than that, it's great!

We have bought the peppa pig weebles for our 2 year old dd they look more sturdy
