Christmassy glittery jam??

I am planning to make jam for the first time this weekend. I have been told that this recipe is foolproof (whihc it will have to be as I am no cook!) and I was wondering if I could make it more exciting for the DC by adding edible glitter.

Any thoughts on whether this would work in jam please(and if so, how much should I add, and does anyone have any recommendations on which one to get and from where), or am I mad?!

I reckon hot should be ok as it's the water content that would make them dissolve and if there's no water left in the cold jam, there shouldn't be any in the hot jam either. That's just a theory though!
The stuff Hope used is the non-toxic, properly sparkly stuff, I'd be fine using that for our own consumption - it was all over cakes up until glitter gate a few years back when people suddenly realised it's not edible. It's made of tiny bits of shredded (food safe) plastic so it passes straight through you.
