Last year ds was loving The Snowman, this year he will be ready for something slightly more substantial! (Plus I'd like to conserve my own love of the Snowman by not watching it 50000 times again this year!)

The original animation of The Grinch with Boris Karloff is a favourite here.

Quenelle · 05/09/2014 22:21

Also that Father Christmas one by Raymond Briggs

Cherrypi · 05/09/2014 22:25

Arthur Christmas is good. Maybe Elf?

dollybean · 05/09/2014 22:29

Also The Bear by Raymond Briggs. My ds is polar bear obsessed Smile Arthur Christmas is lovely.

PumpkinsMummy · 05/09/2014 22:31

Second Father Christmas. Mine loved The Grinch with Jim Carey last year, The Gruffalos' Child, Elf and various themed Postman Pat/Fireman Sam/delete as appropriate cartoons. You can usually hire them from the library before committing to buying them.

PumpkinsMummy · 05/09/2014 22:34

Polar Express, Home Alone if he likes slapstick, Prep and Landing is a favourite here too. My all time favourite is Santa Claus the Movie with Patch the elf, but no-one would watch it with me last year, nor leave me in peace to watch it.

dollybean · 05/09/2014 22:43

Ooh I forgot about Prep and Landing! Another favourite in our house as is Mickey's Christmas Carol.

Tory79 · 05/09/2014 22:46

Oooh Mickeys Christmas Carol! I forgot about that. He already loves Mickey Mouse anyway!

I have never heard of Prep and Landing, will have to look that up.

Bloody hell, just looked up Mickeys Christmas Carol as well, how on earth is it so expensive! Have they stopped making it or something??

I got this Mickey Mouse DVD Collection for ds last year - it includes Mickey's Christmas Carol on one of the DVDs and the whole set is only £6.80.

Tory79 · 05/09/2014 23:03

I just looked at that one Snappy, it doesn't say it has Christmas Carol on it though?

Polar express

TiffanyToothache · 05/09/2014 23:16

Tom and Jerry's Night before christmas is good!

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 05/09/2014 23:18

Shrek The Halls. It is short though.

GerrardWinstanley · 06/09/2014 00:10

DD2 was that age last Christmas - favourites were
muppets christmas carol
also a second vote for Raymond Briggs Father Christmas and Prep and landing

as well as the obligatory Peppa Pig meets Santa thing

Got The Bear and the Tom and Jerry one on my wish list now Grin

RockySpeed · 06/09/2014 08:48

My 3 year old really enjoys Mickey's twice upon a Christmas and curious george a very monkey Christmas - both from super markets (Mickey from Saimsburys and CG from Aldi) and cost less than £5 Grin

wellnowthenmardybum · 06/09/2014 08:52

Shrek the halls. Home alone had my dd in tears laughing when she was 4. She did worryingly find people getting hurt funny though Hmm

lostlalaloopsy · 06/09/2014 08:53

We all love Mickeys Once and Twice Upon a Christmas in this house, you will get them quite cheap in tesco nearer Christmas.

snappybadger · 06/09/2014 15:43

Tory79 I'm pretty sure it's on the "Snowed In At the House of Mouse" DVD that comes in that box set. It's definitely on one of the DVDs because we have that set and watched it last year!

Quenelle · 06/09/2014 17:22

We're watching Home Alone right now Grin

poolomoomon · 06/09/2014 19:25

Well there's the snowman and the snowdog if you fancy a change Wink.

The bear
Father Christmas
Mickeys once upon a Christmas
Polar Express
Beauty and the Beast enchanted Christmas
Frozen
The grinch
Frosty the snowman

Most of our Christmas movies are just for us to enjoy atm either because DC (aged 4, 3 and 2) don't have the attention span for it or because they're too grown up for them. I loathe Arthur Christmas.
