Looking for a small cute little make up set for DD8. Santa bought a cute little Minnie mouse mouse make up set last time, now she knows Santa exists because Mummy would never have approved and bought her that!!! Wink Grin

zipzap · 11/09/2014 22:55

Can't remember if I have seen this posted by someone on here already or not- but came across an ebay seller who has minecraft soft toys for just £3.09 including delivery. Everywhere else I've seen is a tenner or more.

o0 · 12/09/2014 01:15

Flakey, I've pinched your jar of sweets idea.

But I need help with layering them nicely. Have you done yours? Any tips?

Anyone else made them before?

Actually, I'll post a pic so you can see what a hodgepodge it is. I really want nice layers but don't know how! Should I do big to small or something?

www.temptationgifts.com/xmas-2014-advent-calendar-gift-set-yankee-candle.html?nosto=nosto-page-trending1 Yankee advent calendar £16.46 and £2.95 delivery

FernArable · 12/09/2014 07:45

Christmas by Gisella Graham is on Zulily this morning. They have the same advent calendar as Amazon and same price. With postage will probably work out cheaper on Zulily but only if you want to buy other things as well.

TheFantasticMrsFox · 12/09/2014 07:58

o0 I choose my first layer and pop that in until it's completely flat. Add the next layer but ensure you have enough to make that layer flat (leave some out if necessary) It helps to alternate large eg. white mice with small eg. Skittles which will fill the gaps.
It took me several attempts to discover it's not as easy as just plonking them in the jar :o

Keepcalmanddrinkwine · 12/09/2014 08:36

Poop- try Accessorise/Monsoon. I know they often have them in the outlet at Clarks Village so if you have somewhere like that near you they would be cheaper.

WildFlowersAttractBees · 12/09/2014 08:43

When I fill a jar I always go large to small (ending with millions as they fill the gaps). I also used small wax discs to separate the layers as they are not seen when surrounded by sweets.

WildFlowersAttractBees · 12/09/2014 09:04

Got pop a cake pop holder to go with DD's cake pop maker in Wilko yesterday. Scanned for £3 at the till.

They also had nail jewels for 10p, 2pk wine stoppers for 50p, mucky pet bath toys (how water makes them magically clean) for £1.50. All good stocking fillers.

Local WORKS also had dominoes (2 for £1) and lots of half price craft sets.

PoopPoooDeDooo · 12/09/2014 09:12

yes ipswich in that funny little shopping centre beside the passport office!

PoopPoooDeDooo · 12/09/2014 09:13

Thanks keep calm I'll have a look!
