Not really a huge bargain but I've found this lovely website for personalised gifts. its carly's crafts. The website is down at the moment but she has a Facebook page.

I'm about to order sets of 4 coasters for £12. They have a picture of a tree on them and you can put the family names on the tree. They look lovely. I don't buy for my sister's anymore but thought these would be a nice token present. going to buy some for myself too Grin

sorry this is off topic but has anyone got any ideas for a small (read cheap Blush ) cheer up present to be delivered to Belgium?

HermioneWeasley · 20/07/2014 20:53

Evil thanks for the Starbucks tip

Can anyone help me find small a small gift for my 15 year old sister? She lives overseas and i have no idea what she's into, it was One Direction, but I'm assured that she's far too grown up for that now. I only want to spend £5-£10, Ive got a loom band kit for my 10 year old sister, But I guess the 15 year old won't be interested in loom bands!

I did get some great Christmas gift in Home Bargains, A Gelarti set like this www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/1169160.htm# for £4.49 two blingles glitter sets www.amazon.co.uk/Blingles-Glimmer-Themed-Pack-Styles-Vary/dp/B00BQWX7WY/ref=sr_1_1?s=kids&ie=UTF8&qid=1405888350&sr=1-1&keywords=blingles+glitter for £1.99 each and a hair bow maker www.amazon.co.uk/Style-Me-Perfect-Bow-Maker/dp/B008A21NJW for £8.99 and Rapunzel play doh for £1.99 www.amazon.co.uk/Disney-Princess-Rapunzel-crown-Play-Doh/dp/B00F8ERMGS/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1405888722&sr=8-3&keywords=play+doh+disney+princess+crown , I also got a really cute bag for dd1 with a French Bulldog on the front.

I spent £48 including lots of other household stuff, and I'm very happy as usually I've made a good start on my Christmas shopping by now but because I'm working full time it's difficult to get out and buy things without the children spotting everything I pick up. Luckily we really don't have too many people to buy for.

The works also have some good bargains, stocking fillers and other small gifts, I got a Storage Wars game for ds2 and a pick'n'mix sweetshop for dd2, they have an extra 30% off until midnight tonight too.

Saw this while looking for some earrings for the wife, and it's a fantastic price:
Infinity Sign Antique Gold Red Bracelet with Faux Leather Cord

Only 45p (+ 40p shipping) on amazon

slipslipslippy · 20/07/2014 23:30

'The wife' - Really?

On MN of all places.

ThirteenHorses · 20/07/2014 23:56

I've gone for the tastecard / tablet for £35 linked below. I'll be happy to let DD play with a tablet at that price, but would be too nervy to let her loose with an expensive one. I won't keep it for Christmas, it'll be handy to take on holiday.

And our local indian does 2 for 1 with tastecard :)

Lots of disney DVDs reduced to £5 or £7 on amazon including Snow White, Cinderella and Little Mermaid.

RJnomore · 21/07/2014 08:19

I wanted to get my mother in law a tablet this year - was thinking kindle fire butnim now wondering if the tastecard offer would be good. Can anyone advise if they think it would be suitable for Facebook candy crush and a spot of online shopping as that's most of what she does online?

Or is better for a child and I should stick to the kindle?

fknfamilies · 21/07/2014 09:03

Does anyone know if xbox live membership ever goes on offer and can anyone recommend a good xbox live headset?
Tia

Rosvita · 21/07/2014 10:20

Disclaimer: taken from hotdealsuk
TDXR-PYRT gives £15 off a £75 spend at tesco direct.jist managed to use it to get a 2ds for £64 for dd.

PringleLicker · 21/07/2014 10:46

Thanks for that code Rosvita I have just used it to order Lego set for DS1 Christmas present - Clubcard Boost is on from today until 8th September, so clubcard vouchers are worth double.

PringleLicker · 21/07/2014 10:46

Sorry, should have said, I think clubcard boost might be online only. Not sure.

PringleLicker · 21/07/2014 10:51

And fknfamilies xbox live 3 month gold membership is in the clubcard boost, so if you got any clubcard vouchers you can double up to pay for it. Also seems to have a couple of pound off at the moment. here

PringleLicker · 21/07/2014 10:53

Or this one seems to have an extra month for 50p here

YaMasYaDaWithAWigOn · 21/07/2014 12:03

fknfamilies DS has the Turtle Beach X12 headset, it has really good reviews and he is more than happy with it. They're around £35. The only thing is though, it needs an extra 'thing' to go into the telly (sorry not very technical! Will have to ask DP what it actually is and get back to you). I thought that it would just plug straight in and work but our friend luckily told us about the thing it needed before we gave it to DS. It's a bit daft really, it should come with everything so it can be used straight away but it is a good headset, it has a microphone so he can talk to his friends online.

BigfootFiles · 21/07/2014 12:24

My local Tesco has 'Angry Birds' red bird dressing up tops in their clothing sale, £5 in a range of sizes at the moment.

slipslipslippy · 21/07/2014 12:27

Thanks for the tip about Little Mermaid DVD - have been wanting to buy that for dd2s birthday Thanks

RJnomore · 21/07/2014 12:28

Ive ordered the tastecard, it is now down to 29.99 although there is a 4.99 signed for delivery charge

bouquetofpencils · 21/07/2014 12:30

YaMasYaDaWithAWigOn · 21/07/2014 13:10

Nix01 · 21/07/2014 13:25

Character.com are having a clearance sale on their pyjama's. Some were as low as 95p per pair. I have been struggling to get onto the site, but have finally managed to check out and received confirmation.
