Went shopping yesterday and saw in John Lewis playmobil castle down to £69 . They had alot of half price toys in store, including a fair few half price own brand dolls which DD took a fancy to.

Morning all Smile

I'm new the the next VIP sale thing. My 'slot' is at 10am. Any tips ? I have 2 small boys so mainly after some clothes for them. We spend a fortune in next clothes so hoping to kit them out in the sale.

YaMasYaDaWithAWigOn · 18/07/2014 08:11

nickdrake I've never had a problem with the Poundland batteries, the trick is to get Alkaline rather than Zinc Chloride ones.

ipswichwitch · 18/07/2014 09:38

JessesGirl I got DS1 (will be 3 at Christmas) the leap pad from group on for £39. He's a bit too rough to be given the iPad, but he is getting interested in it so I figured its a good compromise for him to use until he's more careful with my iPad! Groupon are also selling some games for £10 too.

Thanks for the happy land link bouquet Thanks I'm getting quite a few bits of happy land for DS2. I need the playmat that turns into a box if anyone sees it going cheap!

landwhale · 18/07/2014 10:49

Been lurking a while now, actually sitting down and buying this morning! Just seen this: princess playmobil sorry if its already been posted, haven't had a look through the thread for a while!

Does anyone have this? Is it any good? My dd will be 32 months at xmas so not sure if too young...?

MARGUERITE18 · 18/07/2014 11:13

4 ninja zhu zhu pets here - would be good to split up as stocking fillers www.homebargains.co.uk/products/6905-kung-zhu-pets-ninja-warriors-case-of-4.aspx £3.96 so around £1 each!

half price monster high dolls - www.homebargains.co.uk/products/8482-monster-high-ghouls-alive-doll.aspx

WaitMonkey · 18/07/2014 11:15

land, I think your dd is too young for playmobil to be honest. Lot's of little pieces and she will find it frustrating if she can't get the figures to stand/sit whatever. Good price though. Might be worth putting away ffor a couple of years.

YaMasYaDaWithAWigOn · 18/07/2014 11:33

land we got our first bits of Playmobil last Christmas, DS was 32 months and DD 29 months.

We got the swimming pool and campervan. They've loved it although I've stashed away all the tiny pieces for now (they wouldn't try to eat them, more just chuck them about and get lost). We got them some more for birthdays, the large playground (huge hit) and a smaller fairy set.

YaMasYaDaWithAWigOn · 18/07/2014 11:37

Blush there's not 3 months between them! Total maths fail! DS was 3 and 8 months and DD was 2 and 5 months. But DD does enjoy playing with it.

JetJungle · 18/07/2014 14:28

iloveholidays I ordered the Elsa dress from AliExpress on 06 July and it has not even shipped yet!

I asked the seller when they plan to ship my item and got this response:
'dear please wait 3-5 day can shipment thanks'
Hmm
I am starting to think AliExpress is just a scam....

YaMasYaDaWithAWigOn · 18/07/2014 14:56

Jet I've ordered an Anna Frozen dress and some leggings on the 2nd, it says they've been sent and the tracking reference they've given me for Royal Mail (when I put it in on the RM official site) says it's coming from China but hasn't arrived yet.

allisgood1 · 18/07/2014 16:25

Any suggestions of what go buy a 6, 3, and baby? All girls. We have a ton of bloody toys and I'm sick to my ears of toys with pieces that end up getting scattered all over the house and I am the only one who picks up! Help!! They have a kitchen and doll house and all accessories already. Own most princess dolls.

JetJungle · 18/07/2014 16:44

My dress is never goining to come is it?

Good thing I started early, so I have 5 months before actual Christmas to await delivery Wink

nickdrakeslovechild · 18/07/2014 16:55

My aliexpress dress came in just over a week. The ribbon took weeks and weeks. It is a ok site not dodgy at all. I am really happy with everything I've had so far. I will definitely use them again.

chaosisawayoflife · 18/07/2014 17:02

Was the seller sincerely tang by any chance? I ordered from them on Ali express and it was finally shipped yesterday, 1 day before the 3 week deadline.

Tantrictantrum · 18/07/2014 17:31

For those of you looking for stocking fillers for adults - aldi have bug bats for £3.99 this Sunday

ilovelamp82 · 18/07/2014 17:47

Everything I have got from Aliexpress has come suprisingly quickly.

glenthebattleostrich · 18/07/2014 18:50

Nick the Costco batteries are brilliant. They also do huge packs of duracel ones too. If you are not in a hurry they also do discounts on them a couple of times a year.

leavesalmondoutofit · 18/07/2014 19:13

The Sesame Street playset linked above was cheaper in home bargains last year. It only comes with two figures and the rest are expensive in comparison to the playset. If anyone finds the other figures for a reasonable (cheap) price can you please post.

slipslipslippy · 18/07/2014 19:32

Has anyone seen a dolls pram on offer anywhere?

I want to get dd one for Christmas

RhinosAreFatUnicorns · 18/07/2014 19:39

slip. I've bought DD this one twin jogger

slipslipslippy · 18/07/2014 20:02

That looks fab Rhino.

I wish I could get that for 4yo dd2 but I can predict a lot of moaning by 7yo dd1 if I did - her pram is a single and I'm sure she would want a double as well.

Sad
nickdrakeslovechild · 18/07/2014 21:31

Thanks for the batteries help. I definitely want Duracell. So fed up of constantly changing the cheaper ones.

bleurghblah · 18/07/2014 22:10

I don't know if anyone is interested or not but I ordered 7 lots of things in the mothercare sale and they sold out before fulfilling my order and sent me a £5 voucher to apologise so I ended up getting five presents for £10 and the lady I spoke to gave me free postage too. Cheap as chips.

daddykyller · 18/07/2014 22:27

Just seen this on facebook, and looks like a really good deal coming up on Monday for school uniforms.

Clubcard Boost at Tesco
Right now you can get up to 4 times the clubcard voucher value on selected offers. This includes things like trips, hotels, restaurants, fun days out, Tesco Hudle tablets & accessories, and home & garden essentials. And coming up on Monday 21st you will be able to exchange £5 in Clubcard vouchers for £10 of tokens to spend towards School Uniforms. They are already very low in price at Tesco, starting at £2.50, so you could get all your uniforms done very cheaply, and maybe even all of it through clubcard points.

The link takes you to a website so I will paste in the website instead of the facebook group:
