Christmas In July

So, loads of stores have been showing off their Christmas lines at their Christmas in July events. Apparently Marks & Spencer will be doing fairy cakes with LED lights on them, sprout coleslaw and sprout juice. Hmmm.... Asda have a chocolate choux pastry wreath and snowman shaped crumpets and Fortnum & Mason have lots of very posh expensive stuff Grin

There's loads of stuff about it on my beloved www.christmasuk.org (sorry, on app so links not working).

Is it too early to be getting hungry excited?!

I found 2 shops yesterday that sell yankee candles so I had a smell of a few. They had clean cotton, not my favourite but I think it fits for a 'white' smell for a relative. They were 8something for the small jars so at least I know how much they are for when they're on QVC. Need to check prices on the big ones.

Unfortunately they didn't have any Christmas ones, I nearly asked then remembered its July and thought they'd just look at me funny Grin

Christmas ones come out around October - so not long to wait really. The Autumn ones are already on sale which is a nice break from summer.

Sayshells on EBAY, they also have their own website now is actually run by an MNer. Either last year or the year before she asked for people to try her insence sticks. I bought a few and have been addicted ever since.
They've got some nice ones in. Bullion almost smells like leather and tobacco (but not the stinky kind...it's hard to describe but is lovely) and Golden Brown smells like that bonfire smell or the smell when the living room firplace has gone out the night before (I must admit though this is very personal for me and is very comforting)

Saysell. That's the company name.

Smilesandpiles · 13/07/2014 13:16

They've got oils and room stick thingys REEDS!, that's the word I was looking for!

That website looks good, I'll have a better look when I'm on the computer later today while I'm trying to figure pinterest out.

Smilesandpiles · 13/07/2014 13:49

Pinterest is addictive - be warned.

Mines just started but I must have gone through the christmas stuff a hundred times already.

It's easier now I'm not on my stupid phone. I'm using the same name on there as on here if anyone wants to start exchanging follows.

Found unused jar of home for the holidays Yankee candle in charity shop yesterday £1.50!

Smilesandpiles · 13/07/2014 21:08

OMG bargin!

Smilesandpiles · 20/07/2014 12:28

Thursday 24th July is QVC's Christmas in July day.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 20/07/2014 15:37

DD and I were checking out the new Yankee Candles yesterday , they are ALL gorgeous.
Honey Glow/Amber Moon,/ Wild Fig,/ Ginger Dusk

I bought the Ginger Dusk, but as soon as QVC stocks them, I'll be there Grin (They often do 3 large jars for the price of 2 . You need to add in p&p but it's £5ish which is way less than a jar)

Smilesandpiles · 20/07/2014 15:40

I can't wait. Ginger dusk and Amber Moon are already on the list.

It's not going to be long until the Christmas collection is out either!
