DS is 4, and wants to make some sweeties for his friends for Christmas, and my mind has gone totally blank!

He wants to try and make fudge, which scares me a bit (he is a bit chaotic in the kitchen), and I thought we might try oreo truffles, as have had success with them in the past.

Does anyone have any other ideas? Preferably things that will last until Christmas day!

thank you!

there are sweets you make with egg white, iving sugar, peppermint and food couring. oepoermint creams? no cooking involved. can be sticky and messy but good fun and easy.

you can use dried egg white if you are worried re raw eggs.

will try and find a recipe..

this recipe suggests putting melted chocolate on top. i never bothered. i made some white ones with no food colouring and others with green food colourung in.

Christmas bark?
Very easy, melted chocolate with your choice of topping chucked on, set and break up.

I made cranberry and macademia

there is a white choc and cranberry fudge in the recipe files on MN - is very easy to make - but does get hot iirc so he will need help. is very yummy.

Not cooking, just assembling - Marshmallow snowmen went down a real treat at our Christmas fair today. 3 big marshmallows on a skewer or lolly stick. Dip smaller marshmallows in icing and stick on as arms. Cut up some of the rainbow fizzy sweetie strips (3 bags for a £1 at Tesco) and wrap around neck as a scarf.

They look cool.
