Gift ideas for 12-15 year olds?

We are friends with a family we see a couple of times a year. Their children are 12-15, and as ours are about 10 years younger I really don't have a clue what to get them for Christmas. The last couple of years we've got some chocolates and a game they can all play together, which seems to have been played with and which the kids seemed happy with, but now, with the eldest 15, is this still the right sort of thing? Better ideas? We'd be happy to spend about £30 total, which is partly why we get one big thing to share, as £10 doesn't buy much per child!

(The family spend about the same on our kids, so this level seems about right to avoid anyone's embarrassment).

Mine are 12 & 14 and I only know what to get them because they give me an Amazon wishlist every year!

For my friend's 14yo, this year I'm getting her a cinema voucher. They always go down well. Or iTunes (if they have iDevices!)

Not even sure what an iDevice is! But a cinema voucher sounds like a good idea, thanks :)

Ah. No idea, they have phones, but not sure of brand. Thanks.

amazon vouchers, clothes vouchers (H&M), itunes voucher, smellies, hats - beanies, scarves, "funny" slippers.

We've given cinema vouchers in the past - always went down well.

My 12 and 15yo DD were aboslutely thrilled with a newlook gift card last year from a friend of mine who had just had a baby and thought she was being "lazy" getting gift cards.

The craze at school for this age girls seems to be New Look or Primark gift cards. yes they all love superdry, Jack Wills etc but £10 wont buy them socks in there.

No idea for lads of similar age but would maybe be inclined to try Itunes voucher.
