Does it give off enough juices and brown sticky goodness to make a gravy with?

I cooked one years ago and seen to remember hardly getting any juices and it ruining the dinner. My dad says you get plenty.

Clearly it's a good idea. Chicken sandwiches for tea this week and gravy prepared in advance.

Unless anyone has any tales of turkey crowns and unxuous gravy.

In order to make a decent amount of gravy, you add the meat juices to water in which you have parboiled your potatoes/parsnips. You can then add extra stock concentrate, and a good splash of wine/madeira/marsala. Then thicken the gravy with cornflour. If you are expecting lots of guests you could add a bought gravy or the JO recipe.
