Boxing day meal

Please help me think of something to serve up to mil on Boxing day. Needs to be low-fat, gluten-free, dairy-free and soya-free (those restrictions cover several of us), not hideously expensive, as will be broke from previous day's turkey, nor too heavy, as full up of previous day's turkey. No guarantee of leftovers as this year's turkey has to feed the 5000.

Am thinking a fish dish, maybe. Mil loves salmon. Both dc happy to eat that too. (They'll eat anything.)

Any ideas?

Got any grand traditions you swear by?

Yes keep it simple with all those requirements. Salmon, rocket salad or something warmer asparagus and new potatoes perhaps

In my husband's family, the tradition is for bubble and squeak. They make it with butter but you can use a veggie based spread, in the spuds. They throw in the leftover veg from the Christmas dinner and eat it with decent sliced ham and pickled onions/veg. Leftover sprouts can substitute the cabbage. Its always been served in my in-laws house, in South London.

Both those sound lovely! I think I'll go with the salmon, as I can't be sure of having left-overs.
