DH and I disagree.
FIL's wife (who we only met a few yrs ago, when they got engaged, despite them having been together for years), has a son, (S) who has a son, C (5yo) who we've met a couple of times. S also has an older daughter C (never met her) who has just had a baby, L (never met her!). We have given DD's smallest baby clothes to L via FIL as we had noone else to pass them on to.
DH has bought C a Christmas present the past couple of years (fair enough I suppose), and bought a new baby gift when L was born (this made me a bit
). He also wants to buy a Christmas present for L.
I find buying presents for a baby you've never met, just because your father is married to the baby's great-gran a bit strange. DH finds my attitude odd.
I have a SIL who has a sister (met her twice, last time 10yrs ago, but we are friends on Facebook). I would not consider getting a present for any future children that she had. DH finds this a bit
.
Who's attitude do you agree with? (if you've kept up with all the relatives!)
