Am completely stumped! Would rather not give money or a voucher as I've bought his sister a present, but might have to as can't think of anything else at present!

All I know is he is into football, but can't find anything really that fits with it. He supports one of the smaller teams and can't really see anything for him related to the team that I can afford.

Help!

My DS would prefer the money/voucher!

SarahFx · 30/11/2013 18:27

Just give him the money. He'll be chuffed with £15.

lljkk · 30/11/2013 18:27

Small nerf gun with pack of extra bullets.

HenriettaPie · 30/11/2013 18:30

A bop it game. My twin brothers (12) love theirs

georgedawes · 30/11/2013 18:34

Have bought bop it before unfortunately! And a nerf gun!

I know money/vouchers are good, but I have bought his sister something and would really prefer to get them both a present if possible. I'd rather give both money or both a present.

But I think I might end up giving the cash if I can't think of anything!

Cash will go down wellSmile

georgedawes · 30/11/2013 18:39

out2lunch · 30/11/2013 18:46

georgedawes · 30/11/2013 19:14

Got a onesie last year.

Smart shirt could work, slightly worried my taste will be old fashioned!!!

CD?
DVD?
Does his football team have an annual out?
Not On The High Street has some great sweet gifts - giant cola bottles, gummy bears etc.

georgedawes · 30/11/2013 19:28

DVD could work, anyone have any suggestions? I'm not down with the kids. Have a feeling music is digital.

Football team is derby county will have a look.

Have you looked at the Derby County online shop - dfc.megastore or something like that. They will have scarves / gloves etc. that come in under budget. My sons are a bit younger & Hull City supporters but they love Hull City branded stuff as presents, including DVDs, PJs etc. It's often overpriced IMO but makes them happy!

bigTillyMint · 30/11/2013 20:29

If he is 13, then I would give money rather than get a shirt - it could be horribly wrong!

georgedawes · 30/11/2013 20:39

I couldn't see anything on the dc shop but I'll look again, thanks.

Yes I'm concerned my taste may not be his!! Still hoping not to give cash tho.

My 12 year old cousin asked for this:

Monopoly Empire

georgedawes · 30/11/2013 21:02

I'd like that but not sure he would unfortunately. So difficult!

OP posts:
lljkk · 01/12/2013 12:52

A voucher for somewhere like TopShop would go down well. Supplemented with £10 from parents he might find something he liked.

georgedawes · 01/12/2013 12:55

Still not a physical present unfortunately.

Looking doubtful I can think of anything but cash or a voucher.

OP posts:
ineedanexcuse · 01/12/2013 13:00

A selection box with the rest of the £15 in pound coins tucked under the sweets.

georgedawes · 01/12/2013 13:19

But I think that is odd when I've got his sister a physical present. Does anyone have any ideas other than money?

Is he at all geeky?

TBBT stuff (a Sheldon-esque T-shirt? The board game?)

Minecraft stuff?

Or failing all else, a Steam voucher.

georgedawes · 01/12/2013 13:21

Not geeky, no sorry. He is more into football I think. Will check if he plays minecraft, I have no idea,
