I have decided to make an advent calendar for the classroom, and have thought long and hard as to what I can put in each pocket. I have come up with jokes.
Here is the tricky part - I need 25!

So please can you share any clean but cheesy Christmassy jokes that you think 5/6 year olds would like!

Many thanks

My 6 year old thought the mince spies one was hysterical! Thanks for that one!

Don't do it to yourself!!! Kids that age do NOT get jokes, you will spend all day trying to explain them and then have to listen to their DIRE attempts at jokes - you will need much more than Wine and Cake.

And what are you counting down to? They aren't going to be there Christmas morning Grin ??

How about putting a small present with each childs name in a different 'box' (doubling up if necessary) Just a cheap pencil sharpener/bouncy ball/wrapped sweet?

Or a 'word' that will tell a story at the end?f

Or ... well, pretty much anything but a joke - it WILL do your head in!!

IME they find them 'hysterical' because they're 'supposed to' then they spend the rest of the day asking why it's funny and trying to make up their own jokes Can you tell I have make plenty of 'joke' mistakes in the past Grin

Why don't polar bears eat penguins?
Because they can't get the wrappers off.

Hope you are not a maths teacher
Grin
You do know that you don't need 25, don't you?
You don't need them for the weekends and most schools will be breaking up about the 20th

Whereisegg · 30/11/2013 11:43

ooo I just started a thread asking for star jokes for my ds age 6 to tell in his nativity.

can anyone on here help?

artyanklet · 30/11/2013 11:45

No I am not a maths teacher and yes I do need 25 as we always do an extra one on the Friday and Monday. We will also do the days that we are on holiday before they break up so every child will get a turn !

I had thought about a little gift but I thought this would be fun.

Stealing these jokes for my (older kids). Meant to do this days ago!

LaTrucha · 30/11/2013 13:39

My 5 nearly 6 year old will find most of those hillarious.

What goes, 'Ho ho ho, BONK'?
Father Christmas laughing his head off.

loulou77 · 30/11/2013 14:17

DD8 offered this: What do you get if you cross a snowman and a polar bear? A brrrgrrrr

Funkybutnot · 30/11/2013 14:31

I'm borrowing some of these. Going to put one each day in DD lunchbox.

TheGirlOnTheLanding · 30/11/2013 14:37

What do you get if you cross a snowman with a vampire? Frostbite.

artyanklet · 30/11/2013 15:16
