nearly four and nearly seven but the small one just wants to do whatever the big one is doing Confused

Dd1 got a cd player last year but that's ended up in the kitchen and occasionally living room because she doesn't want it in her bedroom Hmm ....They share a tv upstairs (only very occasionally)....

I'm stumped!

(they have new dollys and prams each this year to replace knackered ones but seem to have everything between them which doesn't help!)

Lego friends
Playmobil swimming pool, camper van
Barbies & barbie stuff

lucysmam · 29/11/2013 15:15

Lego....why didn't I think of lego! dd1 is good at lego buildings & spends hours at them (god I'm useless sometimes!)

We've never had playmobil....will have a google at that later on.

Dp has volunteered to do individual present buying...that's me off the hook Grin

I'd go playmobil, two sets that complement each other so they can play together... or a furby thingy perhaps

lucysmam · 29/11/2013 18:44

I seem to recall wanting something like a furby (maybe it was a furby, I don't know Confused )when I was younger, we'll have a look at those too

Something to complement each other would be good, it's rare they play without each other (wonder how long that'll last)

Walkie-talkies? Not individual, I know, but they could play together and the 4yo would feel involved. We've got these for our nearly 3 and nearly 7yos. Have secretly tried them out and they are great. Argos value ones are also supposed to be quite good.

I wonder if something 'faddy' like moshi monsters might go down well....but not sure, dd1 is probably the only one in her class not 'into' something specific

its lovely they want to play together :)

my 5 yr old dd loves moshi monsters (i quite like the little guys too!) although the buildings have really bad reviews

what about a disney dvd and get the figure set to go with it? my dd loves those and loves watching dvds. i highly recommend sofia 1st for youngest (might be a bit young for your 7 year old)

some nice bedding for the new dolls prams? could get them their fav colours?

books? the lostmyname books are lovely and would be individual to each child.

doctors kit incase the dollies get unwell?

games - orchard toys are pretty good. hungry hippos, chameleon cruch, monkey madness (brilliant fun lots of noise though!)

Marble run
Badge it

lucysmam · 29/11/2013 22:32

Thanks Disney, I've directed dp (Grin ) to look at board games, moshis, pram bedding (I fear this is my dept), lego and Playmobil and space hoppers because Miranda made me pee myself Grin

What he'll pick is going to be none of the above up to him but at least he has pointers!

We have a marble run Barry, it's sat on the boardgame shelf and hardly gets used.

There are loads of things they have that rarely come out

www.dotcomgiftshop.com/christmas

or house about a dolls house that they can share? Toys r Us have several styles of wooden houses in stock as do ELC. There was an almost 50% reduction in the ELC last weekend.

TheDayOfMyDoctor · 29/11/2013 22:41

Playmobil is great. DS has a few sets and a friend's older daughter loves playing it with him when she visits. Check out the bargain thread for any good deals knocking around.

lucysmam · 29/11/2013 22:42

They have a dollshouse, and kitchen (my dad is very generous with gifts even though they don't see him much) Confused

Told you they have everything between them.....makes life hard for us!
