Hope this isn't duplicating other threads too much but thought it might be handy to have a thread to ask for Christmas present ideas and add suggestions if anyone else is struggling to think up present ideas (I am - had loads last year but am not doing well this year!)

I still need Christmas presents for;

DH - something quirky and a bit unusual as a little present, up to £15. Maybe something he can play with (no snurking at the back)?

BIL - up to £25, again quirky suggestions would be good. Likes computers and cooking (but owns a cafe so no cook books please!), hates books. Something to use or wear would be especially fab.

Parents - joint present, up to £60, either a house ornament or something really nice for the garden.

Other BIL - up to £20, thinks he's very trendy, haven't the foggiest what he actually likes - he drives and teaches if that's any help.

Anyone else need help?

How about a middle aged single uncle with severe-ish social communication problems and no known hobbies? He buys such lovely boys presents and it would be nice to get him something actually useful for once.

I've got mum and dad joint English Heritage membership this year if thats any help for anyone? Joint senior membership is £58 which between two people is a bargain I think.

Hideous secret Santa... How about a padded flowery toilet seat from pound stretcher? I once bought one for a bad taste bridal shower... Was mortified buying it though!

Finally got all my presents from Not on the hight street website, a part from FIL's bottle of whisky on offer at Sainsbury's.

NB the tetris light doesn't stay together well - to make all the lights work, they need to be touching - it's a PITA and twenty five quid I wish I'd not spent tbh Sad

Also looking for ideas for my BIL

I'm delighted to see this threat! Christmas always ends up as a real low point and stress as I never know what to get anyone - when I think I have a good idea I then talk myself out of it!!!! Must be a lack of confidence - I saw a Penhaligons gift set today, way too expensive but I know my sister loves the fragrances, but I couldn't get past the gift box .... does this ring any bells with anyone?

I got my dad a microscope a couple of years ago, he loved it.

I'm buying for a 15 year old who had her ears pierced a month or two ago. So I'm getting earrings, but could you ask your teenagers for me? Which is better real gold 1 pair or 20 pairs of cheap ones from Claires?
