Present idea for three year old dd who loves organising

Any ideas??
My three year old dd loves organising/sorting things out so I would love to get her a Christmas present along these lines. As a few examples, she loves fiddling with marbles, crystals etc and putting them in order (eg colour, size).
Any ideas for a present that will give her the opportunity to do this??

i bought a telescope that comes with star charts and a book to check off what you see recently - that might suit her. they also had a binocular set with all different wild life to find and log.

Do you think something like making these mosaic pictures would appeal to her?
Or [[http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fantacolour-Daisy-240pc-10mm-Pegs/dp/B0002BAHTQ/ref=sr_1_16?s=kids&ie=UTF8&qid=1384964058&sr=1-16&keywords=quercetti this?

Sorry, or this

My 3yo is an 'organiser' too. She plays with her Russian Dolls every day.

sunshinehayley · 20/11/2013 20:36

Thanks for taking the time to reply. We've got a post office ( which we played with this afternoon) and she's got a peg game which she enjoys. I'd never thought of Russian dolls - I bet these would be right up her street. I'll look into all the other ideas too. Thanks again x

A partitioned box and a selection of buttons?

wishywashywanda · 20/11/2013 21:53

My dd is the same. I got her some pattern blocks and she loves making pictures with them then sorting them out in size and colour. www.learningresources.co.uk/product/135663.do?src=GOOGLEPS&gclid=COCJz7Ks9LoCFSbkwgod-GoAhg

Sorry can't do links on my phone.

Jcee · 20/11/2013 22:42

How about this

3bunnies · 20/11/2013 23:43

Domino rally, Noah's ark, dd2 still loves lining the animals all up and she is nearly 7, or a farm with lots of different animal families. Dd2 loves my old farm set when we visit my parents.

A Playmobil (or similar) school - she can set up the classroom, organise the children, tell them what to do etc .

My God-daughter who is nearly 18 now had one and it was hilarious listening to her 'organising' the children.

AnythingNotEverything · 21/11/2013 09:31

Organising and sorting is a sign of maths skills. Might she enjoy related games like matching pairs or happy families?

ChippingInLovesAutumn · 21/11/2013 09:36

My first thought was 'Post office' Grin

How about other 'shop sets'?

'Stuff' to be a teacher.

Beads in a box with lots of different compartments.

Lego.

Does she like jigsaws? Puzzles?

Or charge her out by the hour :) Take her around to friends with messy play rooms and have coffee while she sorts them out Grin

lookoveryourshouldernow · 21/11/2013 09:37

Why don't you try and get hold one of those large plastic sweet jars and fill it with different sized and shaped buttons (and other bits and bobs) - Ebay/Charity Shops/Car Boots sales etc are normally a good source for buttons) - then she can amuse herself sorting through the jar..

..not sure how suitable small buttons would be for a three year old though ???

lookoveryourshouldernow · 21/11/2013 09:38

...ops I see that someone else has also suggested buttons...

lookoveryourshouldernow · 21/11/2013 09:40

...failing buttons - how about a selection of large colourful dried beans !!!!

SpookedMackerel · 21/11/2013 09:43

Dd liked playing with something called Compare Bears at nursery. Litle rubber bears that you could sort according to colour, size and weight.

ExcuseTypos · 21/11/2013 09:45

How about a farm or a zoo set?

My dd was like yours, she played for hours with a farm set, organising the animals, loading them up on a trailer, feeding them etc.
