Wrapping for kids

My OCD says do it all lovely and matching so it looks neat and tidy.... but do kids prefer a mass of gifts wrapped in lots of different colours.... I know this question is daft and doesn't really matter. .. but I can't make up my mind. I only have the one so I don't need different paper desigbs for each child x

My nearly 3 year old has never once commented on wrapping! I don't think he would mind but it might be easier on the day to make it clear all the presents aren't for him so we will probably buy a roll of paper just for him. But if they're older they might enjoy it all matching.

I don't think they care Grin I have two, so am going for the one type of wrapping paper per child option.

wonderingsoul · 20/11/2013 09:42

they have thier own papers.ppurly because it saves me having to do the name tags Grin

they also have different stocking papers that is different from the paperr i use for my presents to them.

WhispersOfWickedness · 20/11/2013 09:58

Wonderingsoul, that is dedication, I don't wrap stocking presents Grin

I don't think they care either but do use different paper for Santa or they will rumble you Grin

My df was really bah humbug about wrapping presents being a waste of time so I wrap everything.

The presents that are from me (to the DC and everyone else) that will be sitting under the tree, are all wrapped in nice matching paper, ribbons and bows etc.

The presents from Santa are in whatever is the cheapest, largest rolls of paper I can find.

I have two massive rolls of paper I got in Ikea last year, one red and one brown; Santa stuff is going to be wrapped in those. Both kids will get a mix of the two papers. I will be wrapping stocking stuff because it might delay getting up time by ten minutes : )

Everything that isn't from Santa will, this year, be in leftover stuff from other years. My christmas wrapping box is full of odds and ends and I want to use them up before buying more.

I have wrapping paper with snowmen / Santa's on for the kids but they're on a brown background sort of retro but for stocking stuff it's a case of the more loud and tacky the better! I am wrapping their main stuff with red twine round the paper too.

Adults presents done with nice paper.

I always do matching paper wrapping presents :) This year I have ordered this wrapping paper for my presents:

www.thepartywareshop.com/50s-christmas-red-wrapping-paper-26350-p.asp

I was wondering whether to order or not from the website but I have checked and heard good comments, so hopefully it is nice one :)

I have 2 DCs and wrap in different papers for each and a different paper again for any presents which are shared. I try to get paper with characters that they like so in previous years I have wrapped presents for DD in Hello Kitty paper, Rapunzel, Tinkerbell, etc. and for DS Cars, Pingu, etc. I think one year I wrapped their joint presents in Peppa Pig paper as they were both into that, last year I used Where's Wally paper for their joint presents. I never use FC paper for presents for any other children in the family. This year I have my eye on paper from M&S with a transport theme for DS, am not sure yet for DD. I don't wrap stocking presents.
