Looking for the big present idea. Not keen on iPad/tablets at this age...

Scooter

lego/ playmobil/ sulvainian (sp?) family stuff - she got the playmobil ambulance which she has played with a lot !! Also the sulvainain family house has been played with loads.

moshi bloody monsters

girliefriend · 16/11/2013 22:01

Oh she did also get a leapster explorer which I wasn't that keen on getting her but it was the one thing she had actually asked for! Tbf it has been quite good, the games are educational and she does love it.

I limit the time she spends on it but find she self regulates quite well and maybe plays on it once or twice a week for max of an hour if that.

Playmobil castle

fuzzpig · 16/11/2013 22:10

And her first lego - my friend has insisted since my eldest was born that I must tell him when the DCs were ready for lego so he could choose some. He got them a huge box of it and it's played with constantly :)

UnexpectedItemInShaggingArea · 16/11/2013 22:19

Playmobil is a contender, she has some and likes it, but she doesn't love it, maybe she will as she gets older?

I am partly bumping, but partly to say that my 6 in January daughter is going to get a Furby, and a lot of her friends are too.

VerySmallSqueak · 16/11/2013 22:44

A second hand DS.

This year she is 7 and desperate for a furby.

Luggage16 · 16/11/2013 22:51

schleich fairies and unicorns - so much so she has asked for more this year!

LadyVJJ · 17/11/2013 08:54

We got DD an electric keyboard (and headphones!) she loved it and still plays with it! Lots of Barbie stuff and the dreaded Moshis.

LadyVJJ · 17/11/2013 08:56

Just to add the Moshi theme park is half price (£10) on Amazon and to buy with two packs of mini moshlings is total of £20. When asked, this is what DD7 is DESPARATE for this year!

dancemom · 17/11/2013 09:00

iPod - she takes it everywhere with her. Got a refurbished 2nd hand one from cash converters type place so wasn't too expensive and totally worth it, she uses it every single day.

BuzzardBird · 17/11/2013 09:01

Hex bugs, Lego, Barbie cruise ship. All well played with.

jamtoast12 · 17/11/2013 09:16

Lego friends, keyboard, guitar, fancy dress

thestringcheesemassacre · 17/11/2013 09:18

Furby was a big hit.
Lego friends.

queenebay · 17/11/2013 09:19

Wooden kitchen. She loves it

cafebistro · 17/11/2013 10:37

Dolls pram, dressing up box

Marne · 17/11/2013 14:06

Dd2 got the sylvanian farm house and it gets played with most days, sadly not for sylvanians but moshi monsters happily live in it Smile.

Furby was hardly played with (so we sold him).

Keyboard gets played with a lot as does any other musical instrument.

Guitargirl · 17/11/2013 18:17

The things my DD spends most of the time doing are colouring/sticker/activity books. I always get a job lot of these and they keep her occupied for hours.

Guitargirl · 17/11/2013 18:19

Her big present last year when she was 6 as a bike which she has just learnt to ride.

downdownupdown · 17/11/2013 18:33

Where do youbbuybthe job lot of colouring books from guitargirl?

6yo dd1 would love!!!

Guitargirl · 17/11/2013 18:51

down - ah, what I meant was I just get lots of different ones, rather than one 'job lot' as such. Last year on her letter to FC was actually a handwriting practice book Hmm so I bought packs of them from the Book People and Amazon. The Book People did packs of Hello Kitty and Moshi activity books for bargain prices. And then I got some Barbie activity books, including a nice (for Barbie!) big Christmas colouring book from Amazon which had pictures of Barbie ice-skating. I also bought some Barbie sticker books from Amazon to tie in with the Barbie films she saw in the cinema that year. I have also done the same this year for Barbie and for the Monster High film that she saw in the cinema a few months ago. This year have also gone for quite a few Usborne colouring books as a friend was doing an Usborne selling party but you can also order direct from their website. Wilkos and the Disney Shop also do nice colouring books. And I think I also bought some from Tiger last year which were very bargainous but haven't checked there this year yet.

fuzzpig · 17/11/2013 18:56

Usborne are fantastic, I have heaps of activity books on my wish list. Have to whittle it down somehow Hmm

bdbfan · 18/11/2013 09:08

Scooter and barbie campervan

UnexpectedItemInShaggingArea · 18/11/2013 21:14

I am mulling a marble run now, any thoughts?

MrsAlwaysRight · 18/11/2013 22:38

My DD's 3 and 6 love their marble run. We've just ordered another box of it for Christmas.
