Aaaaargh posted too soon, looking for something utterly lovely for my dearest friend. We have known each other for so long that over birthdays and Christmases over the years I feel like we have done everything.... From cookbooks to candles...from Christmas decs to hampers...clothes, scarves, oxfam goats...

It needs to be something postable (delivered online) as I am in Australia and she is in the north of England. She recently had her first baby so I sent a tesco grocery order and books.

Budget of either 30 for her or 50 for the family, have already got kangaroo booties for the small one.

Normally she is my favourite person to choose for but am coming up with nothing.

Www.love-local.com is all things made in devon and Somerset or www.etsy.com has range different things. I think its important to buy for your friend and not necessarily for her baby as my identity got lost abit in that first year of motherhood :) as everyone focused on the Lo itwas like I ddidn't exist or matter anymore.

Yes yes yes ssmile, I nearly cried when someone bought me a baby book for my birthday when I had my first!

Not on the night street has a fantastic seller called 'literary emporium' if she loves books they do some gorgeous themed jewellery.

Thank you for starting this as I have many dear friends I want to give lovely presents to and virtually no ideas for any of them Sad

Personalised decs for the family and a lovely beauty box for her. Done, thank you. Has also got me thinking about a few things for other friends and the brother who has everything. Smile

I found this saying the other day
"good friends are like stars, you can't always see them but you know they are there"
I'm printing this out nicely and sending with a star printed scarf from notonthehighstreet

I did a 'do you remember' personalised picture from notonthehighstreet. its unframed so easy to post and you provide the seller with 40 odd 'do you remembers'. she loved it
