Dd had a birthday not too long ago do used up a lot of good present ideas then, and have run out of ideas for Xmas!

Here are a list of things she likes:

Owls
Tigers
Peppa pig
Hello kitty
Helicopters / planes
Anything crafty
Fish

Any ideas are appreciated and cheap amd cheerful present ideas welcome as I would rather she gad a lot of cheaper presents to open than one or two expensive presents.

Looking to spend no more than £100 (with £250 in savings account)

Not really sure what to suggest not knowing what she's already got, but with having a winter birthday, what about keeping some of the money back and buy some garden toys in the summer(sandpit/wheelbarrow etc).

RobinSparkles · 14/11/2013 20:57

Last Christmas DD2, then almost 2, got a Little People garage from my mum. It has been played with almost every day since.
For her birthday she got a Peppa pig campervan (small one not the delux one) which is played with lots, a jungle junction hippo bus, which is also played with lots.

This Christmas she'll be 2.10 but she is getting:
A Peppa pig balloon ride thingy
Little People Disney Princess castle
Hello Kitty scooter
A little piano.

I think Smyths do a big Peppa Pig for around £15. It would have a wow factor. I'm getting the fireman Sam equivalent for DS who is 2.4.

A Hello Kitty cushion.

Play dough.

There is a soft toy make called something like Hanza (can't quite remember now) that do really realistic beautiful soft toys. Definitely do owls and tigers. Don't see them in many shops but expect they are available on line.

I started buying sylvanians for DD1 and DD2 when they turned 2. They are 12 and 9 now and still have them all.

Schleich animal figures are fantastic quality and great stocking fillers.

A paper flower making kit (she would need help with this).

Fuzzy felts.

Playmobil carry along house.

Have a look in the Mulberry Bush catalogue or on their website.

Have fun!

My 2 year old is getting a wooden dolls house (from eBay, lol!)

Also Melissa and Doug wooden sandwich making kit, she loves making dinner :0)

CalamityJones · 14/11/2013 21:04

Playmobil animal toys? My 2 year old has a Playmobil 123 zoo and a farm which she loves. For Christmas she's getting a wooden circus train set, the inevitable Peppa stuff and lots of books and crayons. I've also got her a toddler sized tiger umbrella for about £2 from eBay which I suspect will be the highlight of the morning.

ceeveebee · 14/11/2013 21:10

Wow toys do a helicopter called Rory the Rescue helicopter, my 2yo twins love it!
For Xmas they are getting mini micro scooter things, and probably a train set and a dolls house.

blueberrycupcake · 14/11/2013 21:18

Last year my DD, then aged 2, got a brio train set. She wasn't that interested in it initially but now she really loves playing with it. She also got a peppa pig scooter and a wooden kitchen. She plays with her kitchen every day.

ZenNudist · 14/11/2013 21:29

How about a toot toot garage plus helicopter & cars? We got one for ds first birthday he's now 3.2 and its not been retired. Think a garage is a good one.

Cutting fruit.

A cash register from ELC

If she's already wall to wall peppa pig tat lay off but my friends' daughters love their plastic peppa family figures

Sylvennian families do nice animal play toys with cars or houses.

Duplo zoo or animal safari or circus (whatever has her favourite animals in it)

Figgygal · 14/11/2013 21:31

What about an aquadoodle DS is 2 at Xmas but he loves his and my friends little girl is 4 and still loves playing with hers

RobinSparkles · 14/11/2013 21:34

Sylvanian families get played with quite often here too.

They were bought for DD1, aged 6, who never touches them but DD2 plays with them all the time.

We have the play area set (with the slide) and the kangaroo family.

SpookedMackerel · 15/11/2013 08:05

Fishing game with magnetic fishing rods? We have one and my 2 year old loves it.

2lilgirls · 16/11/2013 18:03

I'm laughing because my dd likes the EXACT same things, I could have written that list myself.

She is getting the chad valley aeroplane, Ben & Holly Castle (which has terrible reviews but she has her heart set on it), a princess castle/play tent (great ones on amazon)

Last year she got a dolls house which was a big hit but the best of all (I have 2 girls) is a play kitchen, they play with it every single day and every child that visits is drawn to it. We wonder what the attraction is Confused lol. So many kitchens to choose from and great offers on, many half price.

HTH.

My DCs all have birthdays either just before or just after Christmas so I he them some toys and games they're able to play with now and some they're a bit young for but will be old enough in summer.

It's also a good idea to maybe get just a few toys now and put some money away for garden toys when it's warmer. Last year dd2 had just turned 2yo and that summer she loved going on the trampoline we had for the older two.

NotInGuatemalaNowDrRopata · 16/11/2013 18:52

I got my 2-year-old a Grandpa Pig boat from Toysrus for the bath (why should Peppa Pig just be confined to the rest of the house?)

He is also getting a Tesco fire engine and rubbish truck which are smaller versions of their large ones and were £5 each. They both do something as they have those little pieces of plastic you pull out of the battery case.

For something weirdly different I got him a horn (also £5 from Tesco) for his scooter that has different toots - I think one is a siren - oh God, what have I done?

I got him a Robofish because his big brother is getting one and I don't want big fights.

He's also getting an Imaginext Castle, cash register and digger which I got using Tesco double-up vouchers.

Other bits and pieces to fill the stocking are Peppa Pig magazine, one of those colouring books with some pencils attached to take out to restaurants, and the usual little bits.

DisneyAddict88 · 16/11/2013 19:47

happyland is good can buy an aeroplane aswell

peppa pig the toys are generally rubbish but the camper van is actually really well made and favourite with my eldest

crafty bits - check out Wilkinsons for individual craft packs or alternatively lots of stickers and colouring in :)

hand puppet - the puppet company
ones are beautiful we have the parrot and its great!

books - the tiger who came to tea, owl babies, dear zoo, any julia Donaldson.

We've bought ds an infantastic wooden kitchen set, then we'll get pots/pans and food to go with it. He'll get so much from his many gps that we have to reign it in a bit ourselves. I've got my eye on a Melissa and Doug latch board though, as I know he'd love it :)

ceeveebee · 16/11/2013 20:41

It was my DTs 2nd birthday yesterday, DD got this and has played with it constantly all day:
