I am still browsing but have bought dd (5) great ones! Anyone found any other good ones?

They look very busy, might hurt my eyes after a while Smile

GwendolineMaryLacey · 11/11/2013 17:31

My two have got these. None of us are particularly bothered about wearing Christmas pjs the rest of the year.

storminabuttercup · 11/11/2013 17:32

I got DS some snowmen ones from primark yesterday. £2.80. Got him some checked Thomas ones from bhs too.

Guitargirl · 11/11/2013 17:55

greedy - cor, they are a pair of pyjamas and a half!

I bought the DCs Christmas pyjamas in the sale in John Lewis after Christmas last year

WallyBantersJunkBox · 11/11/2013 18:02

DS's arrived last week - superb quality as usual.

GoingToBedfordshire · 11/11/2013 18:05

Have not bought especially for Christmas, but I got all 3 of my DC brushed cotton PJs from Peacocks last week. £6 a pair.

BankerMommy2010 · 11/11/2013 18:59

I bought ds some yesterday from jojomamabebe after searching for something better and cheaper... as sods law would have it after I handed over £16 I walked into b&m bargains today to find some really cute elf santas help pjs for 4.99 :( I bought them as I couldn't resist but ds now has 2 pairs, im going to give him a pair at the start of dec and another pair for xmas eve x

celestialsquirrels · 11/11/2013 19:02

Contemplating replacing Xmas pjs with Xmas onsies this year... What do you think?!

CherryMonster · 11/11/2013 19:44

i havent bothered with very xmassy ones this year. i cant find any for teenagers that my boys would actually wear. ds1 has pyjama bottoms from primark. they have dinosaurs in santa hats on them. ds2 has burgundy and navy striped ones. dd1 has an angry birds onesie and dd2 has furby pyjamas.

fuzzpig · 11/11/2013 20:13

I don't get specifically Christmassy ones but just naice ones. DD is desperate for a onesie, so I'm thinking of a grey and pink panda one from next (it's a more pj-like one without feet/hood, rather than the more dressing-up type)

DS not sure yet, not going with a onesie as I don't think he'd like it and he'd never undo it on time if he needed a wee which is a shame as there's a fantastic blue Gruffalo one in debenhams (would've got it for DD if they were big enough) but I'm thinking of some Gruffalo pjs instead

greedygoose · 11/11/2013 20:42

wally love those - I caved last year and went Pj's and Primark onesies (even ones for DH and me, saw the photo's the other day, glad no-one staying....)

Ds (4) has got the dog onesie from next, I don't think he'll sleep in it though as it's a bit tooooo thick, but were going to a onesie party on Christmas Eve so it'll be perfect for that :)

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 11/11/2013 20:56

a onesie party

that is the business Grin

I bought grey nordic fleece PJs and a dark grey fleece dressing gown for my DS (14)

11.6 yo DD has got flannelly reinderr print from Sainsburys and Primark leggings (navy with a Christmas print)

heidihole · 11/11/2013 20:58

Can I just be nosey...do your DC only wear these xmas themed pyjamas on christmas eve? or do they wear them the rest of the year (while they still fit?)

Just seems weird to wear specifically xmas pyjamas in April, but also its expensive to get PJs for one night only!

HappyAsEyeAm · 11/11/2013 21:15

DS2 has a 2 pack from mothercare. Penguin and snowman theme. They're gorgeous.

DS1 has mothercare too, penguin navy ones.

Not so christmassy that they look strange in April! I am bringing them out on 1st December.

kateecass · 11/11/2013 21:30

We only buy Xmas PJs that are suitable for rest of year too. I'm looking at these or these for DS. I know they're expensive but DS is still wearing his ones from last year!

Jbck · 11/11/2013 21:35

Neither of mine are Christmassy, DD2 are pink Supergirl ones she'll love them
DD1 has flannel ones pale pink with little floral bunches all over. Cute and a bit less gimmicky now she's 12.

greedygoose · 11/11/2013 22:02

I buy Christmassy ones that last as long as they fit!! ......

HappyAsEyeAm · 11/11/2013 22:09

I buy pyjamas in The White Company sale. They are always, always 40 or 50% off, and they have never not had DS' size. So I paid a tenner or less each for three pairs back in January or so, and they have washed brilliantly.

greedygoose · 11/11/2013 22:10

Can we talk good onesie's too? I am now thinking Christmas pj's and a onesie that isn't a reindeer or similar as will last longer Grin

OP posts:
greedygoose · 11/11/2013 22:15

eeeek they really have thought of ever onesie combination

WallyBantersJunkBox · 12/11/2013 08:45

John Lewis had some lovely onsies in a Scandi print for boys and men. Sorry I didn't look at girls.

DS's moose print pj's aren't really specific Christmas, just Wintery really so he will wear them in the cold weather - the sizing in White company is great - he wears his pj's for at least two years. They wash and wash and wash.

I can highly recommend the snuggle fleece robe too. It is absolutely gorgeous.

Coveredinweetabix · 12/11/2013 10:18

4yoDD and 18mth old DS will have matching red penguin ones from Mothercare. I am really looking forward to how excited DD is going to be at having an outfit that matches DS.
As for when they start wearing them, the first Sunday of December which is when we put the tree up. When we get the boxes of decorations down from the box, we'll also get the box of Christmas stuff down which includes the Christmas tea towels and the DC's Christmas plates and magically gets topped up each year with a Christmassy outfit for the DC and their Christmassy PJs. I'm not buying them something for them to just wear it one day/night a year so, by giving them to them earlier in Dec, they can wear them when we go to see Santa, for the nursery party, when we go to friends for mulled wine & mince pie and any other occasion I can think of which goes towards justifying the cost. Given DD's Christmassy outfit simply consists of two pairs of tights from Next which will go with most of her normal clothes, then I think she may be operating on a "one on, one in the wash" policy for all of December!
