Decent tiara for Cinderella dress?

Dd1 had asked for a Cinderella dress for Christmas. Last year I saw a brilliant one from disney store that was reversible but she wasn't that into princesses so didn't get it. This year she is mad on them but I couldn't find one I liked, so looked on eBay where I found the reversible one new with tags for £10. I do feel bad though that her main present has cosy £10. She also has her heart set on the dress having a tiara. I have bought a few tiaras in the past, just cheapy ones, and they have been awful. So I wondered if anyone knew of any good tiaras that will stay on and look good to a sparkly 3 year old there is one in disney store for £6 but I don't know what it's like as only seen online. Any one tried and tested? Or got a recommendation? Price wise I'm fairly flexible as I want a really good one. Tia Grin

How about a 'real' tiara, like a flower girl would wear to a wedding?

£8 from Debenhams

£8 from Monsoon (they have other designs too)

Monsoon 'sparkle snowqueen dress up set' , might go well with her dress, although expensive at £17 for gloves, a tiara and a small cape

Or, if money really is no object, try searching sites like these ones for Holy Communion Tiaras. Be prepared to faint at some of the prices.

I'm in the same boat, I've bought DD1 the Cinderella dress from sainsbury's and I'm going to get the really tacky, gross shoes from the Disney store (she will be beside herself when she sees them Grin) - but on the tiara front, I've been searching and they are all plastic rubbish so I'm contemplating buying a cheap bridal one rather than a toy one as then it would be metal and hopefully a bit more durable... Will be interested to see any other recommendations.

Oooh x-posts on the 'real tiaras' front! Grin

NeverQuiteSure · 10/11/2013 20:48

(I meant to say that the real ones are, presumably, designed to be comfortable and stay on for long periods; hence suggesting real ones)

Grin emsyj - only just spotted that!

Primark - £3

there's a metal band, glass stones.
Not too big or heavy.

(They had them in last time DD and I were there. We got a couple years ago and I like to Blush her by doing the Amy Farrell Fowler
"It's a ti-arrrr-rah DD "

She's Hmm

Brill ill check out primark ones and those links, thanks. neverquitesure- wow £115! She would probably sit on it on Christmas Day and squash it or her baby sister would search and destroy! but yes maybe a real one would be good. Emsyj- I am totally contemplating those tacky shoes from disney store but the heel is putting me off. Dd would go crazy for them though and I'd love to.... But I just don't know if I can!! Confused

My DD wears my wedding day tiara with her dresses!

emsyj · 10/11/2013 21:16

My DD is only 3 OP, and DH will be seriously displeased when he sees the heel - but what the hell. I had some dress-up shoes with heels when I was a kid and I turned out okay, and I know how much I loved them, so for indoor at home dress-up only, she can have them Wink.

Clandy · 10/11/2013 21:36

Yes dh gave me "the look" Wink when I showed him and made no comment what so ever! Meaning "I know your going to do as you please so I won't be part of it"! I know she would live them and she would know they were just for play and they aren't exactly 'tarty' sort of heels. But I just am not sure yet.

Sheeparefluffy that's an option!! I just want one they will stay on well. She is quite fussy with things and they have to be just right iykwim. I thought maybe a headband type might just stay on better than one that sits on top.
