Boiled Ham..can you freeze a cooked joint of ham?

Just wondering how to get ahead of the game here. I usually do a joint of ham. Could I cook one and freeze it though?Confused

Yes, you can generally freeze cooked meat, it would take ages to defrost though, and I don't know what the texture would be like.

Yes you can. You need to cool it fast and freeze immediately. It will store for 1-2 months.

The dangerous temp zone is between 40°F and 140°F. Fresh ham and cured ham can be stored in a refrigerator for several days, depending on the type. If it is not going to be used within the recommended time, it should be frozen to prevent it from deterioration. Leftover ham should be wrapped tightly and refrigerated as soon as possible. Do not leave the ham at room temperature for more than two hours. If it is not going to be used within four days of cooking, it should be frozen.
