For the first time ever I'm hosting xmas. I want there to be so loads of snacky food as we are having lunch at 4pm and a bigger breakfast.

So, what bowls of goodies do you have for grazing?!

Thanks.

Mince pies, cheese board, antipasti, crisps, nuts, biscuits, chocolates, dips, Christmas cake, after eight mints, crackers, bruschetta, garlic bread, pigs in blankets. I love snacking!

I'm sure you could cheat and buy a frozen brick of ready made puff pastry?

It was grated cheddar, breadcrumbs, sage and cream mixed and rolled to a sausage shape if I recall.

Pesto cheese straws, crostini with different toppings, Nutella filo rolls with vanilla cream, goats cheese and red pepper palmiers, cheese board sticks and Polenta and prosciutto chips from the good food magazine. I adore this kind of food and spend hours browsing books magazines and t'Web looking for yummy things! It's a bit of an obsession!!

Cheeses, various pickles and chutneys, different crackers etc, choc orange segments, little mini quiches, fancy crisps and dips,

ooh, some lovely ideas on here! I normally do two things; 1) blinis, with dollop of creme fresh, a bit of smoked salmon and a sprinkling of dill and 2) wedge of fig and goats cheese wrapped in parma ham (with a cocktail stick holding it together). I might go crazy this year and do the cranberry parcels as an extra! Can you just make them on Christmas eve then cook on the morning or does the filo go a bit funny? (DS's nursery is open on Christmas eve in the morning, so I'll have a morning without him to get stuff done, I need as much stuff prepared that morning so I can just do fun stuff on Christmas eve afternoon and christmas morning).
