I have a big collection of vintage and antique Christmas decorations and have this year bought some unused vintage Christmas wrapping paper too!

I just LOVE the stuff! I just mentioned it on another thread and thought I'd see if there were any other MNrs who are like me!

My childhood was a 70s one and I love the things from then but any era prior to that will do just fine aswell! look at this

MrsTwgtwf they're not that rare....people often put "Rare!" on this type of thing...they're not exactly common but also not that desirable at the mo.

Dark I've got a lot of those thin baubles with an indent on one side...they're usually listed as "Indents" on Ebay. Mine are all grabbed from charity shops!

I'm dying to get my boxes down now! But it's too early...another month I think! Grin

I love vintage/traditional Christmas things. I have all of my parents' stuff which they were going to chuck out including the obligatory robin missing half his feathers who clips onto the tree and lots of paper decorations which are held together with brown crispy sellotape. I found lots of padded 1980s Christmas cards in a charity shop the other day. I also have many very fragile baubles and a couple of cardboard Christmas characters who hang on the wall and you pull a string to make them dance. I watch my dc playing with them and remember doing the same as a child 25 years ago. They have 1975 on the back iirc and my Mum bought them when she moved in with my Dad.

I also collect vintage children's books about Christmas. I have a beautiful collection and they only come out for the month of December.

Showof - we had a Santa like that. He was an advent calendar that you hung on the wall and pulled the string to make his legs and arms dance.

The gifts were most bizarre. I remember in some windows you used to get little naked pink plastic babies! Confused

We had to put them all back for the following year. We got 5 years or more from that calendar. Grin
