So far I have thought of:

A musical instrument triangle
Crayola crayons and drawing paper
A new toothbrush!
Some bucket stilts a bit like these

Can anyone come up with some more ideas?

Oh, and new hair clips, bobbles etc as she's getting rather hair obsessed!

Father Christmas ALWAYS brings new knickers in our house, and chocolate coins.
What about bubble bath, her very own hairbrush, other stuff for hair, a book, a colouring book, a little fluffy toy,

storminabuttercup · 11/10/2013 11:00

Chocolate coins
Some stickers
Magnet to stick on the fridge

TheYamiOfYawn · 11/10/2013 11:04

Red Fox mini book
toothbrush and paste
bubble mix
mini magnetic drawing pad
chocolate
play dough and a rolling pin
glitter glue
mittens
finger puppets

JulieAnderton · 11/10/2013 11:11

Of course, chocolate coins. Father Christmas wouldn't be doing his job properly if he forgot those!

Tesco have a disney princess hair styling set (inc pretend hair straightners, a 'working' hairdryer, hairbrush, pretend curling tongs etc etc etc all in a good sized 'handbag') reduced to £7 in their big toy sale. I've bought one for my DD so I may split it up and put it in stockings or just put a bigger prezzie in!

NannyPlumForPM · 11/10/2013 14:10

Forgot to say DD is 3 at the end of this month and will love it! Other things I've got are slipper socks, toothbrush, flannel, chocolate, pink smarties (another fave), an orange, princess pants. I am debating some lipsalve - something like a clear chapstick as she is quite into make up! and I'll put in a magazine and some crafts to occupy her xmas morning too :)

Sukebind · 11/10/2013 14:55

You can get mini versions of those Usborne dess-up dolly sticker books - the box is £5 in supermarkets. You could split it and give her one or two and then use the other for the future (e.g. to occupy her at an adult-orientated event) or give away.
Things like blind bag My Little Ponies/Playmobil.
Wilkinsons craft sets for £1 or so e.g. paint your own mask, paint your own wooden toy, etc.
Cookie making kit.

DS will be 2.10 at Christmas, and so far I have got for his stocking:

Bath crayons
Pants
Socks
Chocolate coins (natch)
Little glider plane
Little toy cars
Peppa Pig DVD
Postman Pat DVD
Gruffalo toothbrush
Cars Top Trumps
Mini VW campervan
A Thomas Tank book
Chuggington torch
'Cars' snack pot
Glow in the dark dinosaur wall stickers
Sheets of stickers
Wind up toy

DD will be 19 months, and I have got her a lot of the above, or variations of the above, but with a couple of other bits, including:

THIS Little Tikes 'lights and sounds' mini hairdryer

JulieAnderton · 11/10/2013 18:02

Some more brilliant ideas here, thank you. I think some kind of magazine/sticker book will be a good idea to keep her occupied during the morning while all the other Christmas prep is going on.

I'll probably get her some socks too. And maybe an umbrella.

Winter pjs
If you have an Aldi nearby you could have a look in there as they often have children's activity books etc that are inexpensive.
An outfit for dolly/teddy
A book of the Nativity story (or other Christmassy story if you don't want to do the Christian side)
Magnetic fridge letters
A suitable magazine
I used to like this kind of puppet toy when I was little
Balloon(s)

SomeKindOfDeliciousBiscuit · 11/10/2013 22:47

A Cath Kidston purse for about £4

attheendoftheday · 12/10/2013 10:12

Dd1 is a similar age. I'm putting in:

Happyland figures
Small book
Finger puppets
Bath toy (hers are dogs with dirty patches you can wash off in the bath)
Animal wash mitt
Cbeebies CD
Choc coins
Satsuma

SavoyCabbage · 12/10/2013 10:14

I bought my dd a musical instrument triangle when she was three for Christmas. It was her favourite present.

MamaBear17 · 12/10/2013 16:43

Bath crayons, mini tubs of playdoh, Mr tumble snap cards, expanding flannel x

SunshineAndPeardrops · 14/10/2013 10:01

NannyPlum, thank you so much for the tip about the hairdryer set. I have been looking for something like that for ages, for my little niece.

Last weekend that exact set, SECOND HAND, sold for £12.60! So you know what to do when your dd's outgrown it - Stick it on E-Bay! Smile

alittlebitcountry · 17/10/2013 20:30

I had Christmas on my mind yesterday thanks to this thread, so now have these for DD (3 in Feb):
Wind up torch
New bath squirty toy
Book - monkey puzzle by Julia Donaldson
Baby doll outfit.

I like the idea of a happyland figure and there has to be chocolate and a Satsuma. Then I'm going to add some hair bows or cute clips. That should be enough, unless I spot a bargain or six...
