I dropped the hugest hint imaginable about needing one, darling DP picked up on it and has ordered me one Grin but I actually don't have a clue what it is and why I need it? Seen it mentioned on the Mumsnet Christmas board, had a little nose on google but it doesn't give much info.

Does anyone have one? Do they help with festive prepping?

It's an A5 ringbinder with an elastic band to go round it to keep shut. There is a handy pocket on the inside of the ringbinder at the back, and it has the following insert pages:

cardboard tab page (holly leaves)
To Do (8 x double-sided lined pages)
To Do (4 x double-sided squares pages)
Blank sheets with holly border (3 x double-sided)

Next cardboard tab page (deer design)
Address Pages for cards (6 x double-sided lined pages)
Presents Pages (4 x double-sided table format)
To Buy (5 x double-sided lined pages)

Next cardboard tab page (Red with white spots)
Cooking guidelines (3 sides of paper) - completed not blank.
Menu Planner (3 x double-sided lined paper)
Shopping list (2 x double-sided lined paper)
Guests (2 sides table format for Name/Vegetarian/eat fish)
'Stick recipe here' (3 x double-sided blank pages)
Recipes (3 x double-sided lined pages)

Last cardboard tab page (holly and deer design)
Notes (17 x double-sided lined pages)
Sticker sheet (8 x pictures & 24 title headings (like 'Don't forget' etc)

Pages are a good quality heavy paper. Cute 1950's retro design. I'm just starting to fill mine in now as I start shopping and planning.

Thanks for that great discription everyday. I'm about to order one. Just want to check that this is the one?

CaptainSweatPants · 24/09/2013 10:07

JerseySpud · 24/09/2013 10:08

everydayaschoolday · 24/09/2013 10:11

OK, to be clear here... everyone gets that this is a blank organiser that you fill in yourself? I didn't want to mislead anyone that Cath had done our meal planning for us, or write our presents lists etc Grin

IsaacCox · 24/09/2013 10:18

We can but dream eh Everyday Grin

everydayaschoolday · 24/09/2013 10:19

ELR · 24/09/2013 11:16

Just bought one! Thanks xx

OctoberMoon · 24/09/2013 11:25

everydayaschoolday thanks so much! It sounds perfect.

Posters, we can all prep together! All we need is the poncetastic christmas thread to appear & we are ready to go.

October, it's already here and 3 pages long already Grin

LaRegina · 24/09/2013 11:30

Sooo.... it doesn't actually organise Christmas for you? Confused

PPPpickUPaPenguin · 24/09/2013 23:41

Does she give you a sample menu?

everydayaschoolday · 25/09/2013 07:09

No sample menu I'm afraid. The only bit that is 'filled in' is the 3 sides of pages with the cooking guidelines. Ie weights and measurements, meat cooking times etc
