If you make hampers what do you actually use as your box?

Just as the title says really. I suppose for Christmas Eve you would use an actual basket or something reusable but if you are making a gift hamper any suggestions on boxes to use that aren't too pricey?

For our Christmas Eve hamper I use a big basket (one with handles with a fabric lining) that I put reuse each year.

For gift hampers, I bought a job lots of those ribbed cardboard box hampers with shredded paper in, when they were on the sale in January a few year ago and still have lots left. I think I bought them for about a pound each so I really don't mind giving them away. My sister fills a proper wicker hamper with a lid (which probably cost £££s) for us for Christmas, but I then give back to her to be used again the following year.

I use the boxes that nappy wipes come in as they are the right size for medium hampers & wrap them in nice paper. Or I look out for cheap baskets in the £ shop, ebay or gardening centres.

I have ordered these and they are not too expensive for a set of 5.

Try this place for baskets & hampers, they sell proper wicker hampers for not too much money

I've bought a lovely basket from b&m bargains, it cost £4.99 its medium sized and is lined and has a red check heart hanging at the front, its very festive :)
