How does your Christmas Day go?

What do you do for Christmas Day?

We are moving back to DH's home country (lived there for a long, long time but had a year in the US this year) so thought we'd do something special.

So far, we have:
Kids wake up. Stockings opened.
Wallpapered door to run through.
They open presents, save some though.
All eat breakfast and open one or two presents more.
Visit DS1's memorial.
Do some Christmas crafts
Go to beach for a picnic
After the picnic, visit friends.
DC+friends make prístinos.
Open some more presents at home.
Skype family.
Play Christmas hide and seek.
Bed.

I know, I know...it's so early to plan! But we had a bad Christmas last year, and we'd like to have a fun one this year. Also wondering what Christmas traditions YOU have?

I always hang an extra couple of presents on the tree, one to open on boxing day & one for the day we take the tree down per child.

It means, once the Christmas day presents are gone etc... there's still something to look forward to the next day & it doesn't feel like christmas is over.
Some years it's a bigger thing, some years something little, but of course the magic is in not knowing.

It also means that if you couldn't get them the present you really wanted because it was out of stock before Christmas or wasn't delivered in time, you have until you take the tree down to sort it!

Wallpapered a door to run through? I have never heard of that!

We did it when I was little Hmm Leave door open, present wrapping and wallpaper (this year mainlt wallpaper as we moved to a house where the owners had dumped wallpaper) with any leftovers and they burst through Confused It sounds really stupid but I loved it as a kid, so I still do it. We have a tiny door (you need to bend to get through it etc;) which helps!

Up
I go I to living room, lights on etc and video ready. DH and DS come in.
Present opening
DH into kitchen and opens champers and croissants. DS has chocolate!
First call of day to Australia
Play with toys, watch a bit of TV
DH puts BBQ on for bacon and eggs and coffee
Go for a walk
Open more champers and I begin cooking
Second call to Australia
We eat when that is all ready
Veg for rest of day

Prepare for 25 ish on Boxing Day.

It varies year to year, but we started some firm traditions last year.

I'm hoping Christmas day looks like this, this year;

Up at 7am, i'll sneak down stairs & enjoy a coffee and a box of chocs with the Christmas music channel on.
DD & DP will come down at 7.30am and see what Santa has left.
All dressed
Inlaws will arrive, sausage sandwiches, croissants, nutella, fruit & pancakes will be served (with bucks fizz)
Will go visiting to my dad's for an hour & have a bucks fizz there, may also call into the local family friendly pub for a mulled wine
Back home for 2pm, queens speech on, christmas music on, mulled wine & nibbles served, dinner done and served at 4.30pm. My mum & sister will join us for dinner.
DD in bed at 8pm, mum & sis will go home and DP and I will lounge on the couch with baileys, bucks fizz & christmas telly.
