Hi there

Has anyone seen any good value kitchens? I don't want to spend loads - about £40/50 max but not having too much luck. Don't want a huge one but do want a sturdy one....

Thanks for any help...

Ikea is the best child's kitchen I think. I think it's about £50 but I bought mine ages ago so it might have gone up now.

2nd the Ikea kitchen. Good quality and looks great. Kids love it. Played with daily many years on.

We got the one that is stocked at JoJo Maman Bebe, with a 15 or 20% disc code :) Janod I think it was, its lovely, bright but gender neutral (since when did kitchens need to be blue or pink FFS) but the Ikea one fits that bill too. The Janod one comes with utensils and pot / pan / mit which was the decider for us. Got the primary coloured toaster / kettle / mugs set from ELC to go with it and their diary set (milk, cheese, eggs) fab bday pressie for DD who was turning two, played with most of all the toys.

Brio make a fab kitchen in that price range.

The ikea one is £65 but most definitely worth the money.

Here it is. You can buy the bottom bit seperately for £45 as well.

we've got a lovely wooden o e from asda. was recommended on here last Xmas - £35 from £70. dd loves it.

Ikea, definitely

Oh yes! The Asda ones are also lovely here. Although I wasnt impressed with them last year as was going to buy one for ds3 and they had made hem pink, whereas previous yars hey had been red. They will reduce the price come Christmas.

I've already bought the IKEA Duktig one but have now kind of lost confidence in my decision and am wondering if I just picked it because I think it looks tasteful, and she would actually have preferred a lurid plastic one where you press buttons and it makes noises, lights up etc.
Oh well, too late now. Am also very aware that dh and I will need to put it together at some point, which will inevitably lead to our divorce.

nickdrakeslovechild · 14/09/2013 21:37

The Asda one is lovely and very cheap when it goes down to £35. My LO had it last year and gets played with every day.

IcedCoffeeQueen · 15/09/2013 11:33

Im also looking for a toy kitchen for ds2 who will be 2 at Christmas, need to be neutral colours obviously and with lights and sounds, seen one at the entertainer but its not in stock for home delivery, if anyone can recommend one would be great

Thanks all for this suggestions - will look in to them. We actually need it for November for my daughters birthday so hopefully the Asda one may be in the sale by then.

Dd has the red Asda one, personally I wouldn't recommend it as the oven door snapped
