Anybody know where I can get Xmas duvet & pillowcase sets?

next normally do them. last year h&m sold them but seemed to sell out almost immediately.

or you could do what I planned on doing last year but never got round to... cheap plain white/red duvet set from argos and sew on some pretty christmas fabric as a panel

CaptainSweatPants · 13/09/2013 14:41

Primark or tk max

I've never bothered , is it worth buying bedding that will only be used one week a year!

cheekycherryza · 13/09/2013 15:42

captainsweatpants do you do Elf on the shelf? Or decorate the kids rooms at the beginning of september? Maybe could decorate their rooms with lights and change the bedding to Christmassy bedding?

I've been wanting to do Christmas bedding for years... I'll get around to it one of these days

PGTip · 13/09/2013 18:49

Thanks guys. And yes I do think its worth it Grin

I got the Next Christmas Advent duvet cover, £15.00 and it will last a while. They were, obviously, reduced after Christmas

holidaybug · 13/09/2013 20:23

Seems a tad frivolous to buy a duvet for once a year ...

bundaberg · 13/09/2013 20:25

yeah but they'll use it every year for the foreseeable future.

no more frivolous than buying a bottle of wine and then pissing it down the toilet really is it? at least this is useful! lol

holidaybug · 13/09/2013 20:29

Just seems a bit OTT to me - like the idea of having a Christmas Eve present box or whatever it's called on Mumsnet these days - some people are an advertiser's dream!

crazykat · 13/09/2013 20:32

Studio have a couple of Christmas ones

bundaberg · 13/09/2013 20:32

i don't really see it as any different to other christmas decorations tbh

holidaybug · 13/09/2013 20:35

I suppose it's where do you draw the line - Christmas tea towels, Christmas table linen, ya de yah ...

bundaberg · 13/09/2013 20:38

i dunno, it's arguably more reasonable than buying a giant tree, keeping it til it dies and then throwing it away Grin

My fleeces (from Lakeland Limited ) were bought in 2004 and 2005.
Two of Father Christmas climbing down the chimney and one of a Teddy Bear.
They come out every year , on DS and DD bed and one on the sofa.

I'd love Christmas Bedding (for me) . QVC have red/white flannel with reindeer (more of a Swedish/ Nordic pattern than Christmas) but the reviews aren't favourable.
And DH would be Hmm spending all winter in red flannel bedding

chocolatespiders · 13/09/2013 20:54

Damm this thread - Just ordered the Next advent one from Ebay.. justified in that I will use it for my children and then grandchildren!!!

CaptainSweatPants · 13/09/2013 20:57

er no I don't decorate kids rooms in September Hmm

And I've no idea what elf on the shelf is!!

BaconAndAvocado · 13/09/2013 21:03

A Christmas Advent Duvet cover.........I think I've just died and gone to heaven Smile

ziggiestardust · 13/09/2013 21:26

I think dunelm mill do christmas fleece throws every year. I'd second buying those instead to put on beds and sofas instead.

There's no way I'd get festive bedding past DH... Hmm

elQuintoConyo · 13/09/2013 21:44

I prefer this to Elf on the shelf creepy bastard

bundaberg I love your suggestion of making one, that'll keep me occupied in long, boring November Grin
