We usually need to arrange for our dc presents from FIL as he finds it hard to do these things him self and to get into mind of what 6/8 yr old girls wants. Was thinking about maybe a science kit for the older two girls and then something easier for 4yr old boy. Not sure I want to kill raise animals, but was thinking of a kitchen chemistry set (he used to be a chemist so will love this) for dd1 - FIL will reminisce about how he nearly blew up his parents flat with chemistry set but dh bit phobic weary of chemicals and don't have gas masks and decontamination suits for a normal chemistry set.

Then maybe an easy electronic kit for 6 yr old and something cheaper for 4yr old - needs to be 4/5 yr level rather than 3/4 as he's keen to be older. Generally limit is £30 ish for all three but that side of family always spoil ds so won't matter if his is a bit cheaper Any recommendations? )

My DD1 nearly 8, currently loves the Hot Wires kit she got last Xmas. She like science type things. It is popper together electrical components with an instruction book for over 100 circuits to build. It comes in a blue box from John Adam Company, I think it is in her room and I can't do links!

Check out the science museum online shop for ideas

Thank you, the hot wires look a bit too much for him to spend but will look at the science museum website.
Thanks
